Little Bull is sincere, nostalgic comfort food, inspired by the palates of first-generation immigrant kids.

Pocho cuisine is not a gimmick. Like Oscar, it’s a little bull-headed, but with no bullshit. It means more than loaded terms like “New American” or “modern Mexican.” And it’s authentic to Chef’s personal experience.

“American food is undefined. But it’s been designated to certain ideas and people. It’s actually evolving, as much as our landscape is a melting pot. As much as my own identity as a first-generation American and chef.”

Pocho started as a term used by people in Mexico to poke fun at the “American” kids who speak Spanglish. At Little Bull, pocho cuisine showcases the evolution of being a chef in America, inspired by every immigrant and their growing influence on our food.

    The tasting menu was fantastic. What a great way to sample many things on the menu. This was our first trip to Little Bull and we will definitely be back.

    This is a real find! The food is great, cocktails are marvelous, atmosphere is great and service is wonderful if you are looking to enjoy a relaxing evening. It can get a little loud, but a table of 4 can have a great conversation and no problem hearing everyone. Sharing small plates in this kind of atmosphere is a perfect dining experience!

    Our group was a business dinner and enjoined the immense variety of dishes, the wine, and dessert options. Extremely pleased with the friendly staff and wonderful service throughout our meal.

    Our family ordered a wide range of dishes (shrimp and grits, French toast, steak and eggs) and everything was excellent. Our server, Liz, was helpful with the menu and attentive. This beautiful restaurant was a special place to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday.

    We went there for my fiancés birthday. It’s definitely fancier than Im used to and maybe a little too much so for me. This is a personal preference and not a knock on the restaurant. They execute perfectly. The small plate portions are by design small and extravagant. We did maybe 10 small plates and I have to say the octopus was the best. (Probably the best I’ve ever had) The bread and butter was also out of this world. If you’re a foodie, I think this would be a must hit restaurant.

    Fantastic food and good service. Food arrived very promptly and service was outstanding. We loved the birria dumplings, arepas (very filling), and guava ice cream in particular. Drinks are creative and tasty. A great treat!

    We have eaten at all the fine dining restaurants in Durham and Chapel Hill and we found a diamond in the rough with Little Bull. Hands down, my new favorite spot! Surpasses all expectations we had.
