   Amazing food and unique dishes. Service also excellent. Would definitely go again and again. The ice cream dessert with the miso chocolate ice cream is unique and one of my top 3 desserts I’ve ever had anywhere.

   Sat at the bar next to the kitchen so it was louder than the rest of the restaurant. The bartender was great. Food was great. Portions were very good.

   As a, “most of the time,” local, I was so excited to try this restaurant. I was sad to discover it is just another example of an originator’s ideals and talent not coming into fruition on this island. While the staff (start to finish) was incredibly sweet, and the dishes were successful in providing a fusion of flavors, the floors were sticky, the servers were not knowledgeable of the beverages offered, we were collecting small bits of shells from our mouths with every, poorly shucked raw oyster, and our entrees were served cool (not cold though) which made the Wagyu Striploin and marrow quite unappealing. So unfortunate. I believe Simeon would have been disheartened— I know any of my ohana would have been. *I truly hope this is a matter of growing pains and not commercialism.

   I celebrated my birthday at Lineage in Maui, and it was a memorable evening with some definite highlights. The steamed Kanpachi stole the show—absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. The garlic noodles and chicken were also standouts, delivering comforting flavors that made the meal feel extra special. On the flip side, the duck baos were a letdown—dry and not as flavorful as expected. However, the cocktails were good, with creative combinations that added a festive touch to the evening. The service was incredible—the staff really went out of their way to make the night feel special. However, the atmosphere was just okay; it didn’t quite match the level of the food and drink experience. Overall, Lineage was a great spot to celebrate, thanks to the stellar dishes, drinks, and attentive service. I’d definitely recommend it for a special occasion, but there’s room for improvement in some dishes and the vibe.

   This is one of my favorite restaurants on Maui but one of my favorites period. The food is creative and fun and always amazing. The staff is exceptional!

   We showed up with an extra person and they were so helpful! They are busy, so don’t make the same error I did. Joey, our waiter, was excellent!! Try the “Bird Cage”.

    Honestly I don’t know what is this hype all about, I couldn’t get a table it was packed. I ordered duck leg with rice. To my surprise I couldn’t find leg in the rice. Wagyu hand roll is so expensive and I could barely taste anything. Nothing special and expensive
