I’ve been looking forward to eating at Lydia’s for quite some time. Finally got a chance to have dinner there and was not disappointed. Everything was wonderful our server,Peter, was great. He was attentive, but not intrusive, and very accommodating to our special requests.

We had a variety of dishes. We had both salads and they were delicious, I had the pasta trio. Typically there’s always been one with seafood. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the variety and value of the 3 courses. The manicotti was the table winner. Pear ravioli was basically flavorless. The duck gnocchi was good. For dessert the ice cream trio was a hit! The honeycrisp sorbet was so crisp and fresh. The chocolate gelato had us wanting to lick the bowl. The vanilla was rich and creamy. All paired with a small cookie. The chewy ginger snap was perfection. Such a beautiful venue it’s always a treat to dine at Lidia’s!

As always, our dinner at Lidia’s KC was excellent; we started with drinks and I had an amaretto bourbon sour, which was delicious and lasted through dinner. We started off with Insalata Mista, the “house salad “, which is always fresh. I couldn’t decide between the Chicken Limone or the Eggplant Parmigiana, so our waitress suggested half of each! They were both wonderful, and as I had never ordered the eggplant before, expect to again; it was crispy, with a nice sauce and tasty cheese (Fontina?). My husband had the Heritage Pork Porterhouse, which he really enjoyed; I had a bite, and while I’m not a huge pork fan, it tasted pretty good. As Thanksgiving was two days ago and we had three types of pie at home, we didn’t order dessert this time, but the selections looked tasty. I have had the apple blueberry strudel before, and the tiramisu is always heavenly. I’m a Lidia B. fan girl, and plan to revisit my go-to for Italian, which I have done for over twenty years!

I received a gift card for my birthday. Everything was wonderful! We had the Three-Course Pasta Trio and my goodness, it was delicious. I would advise that you wear layers, as it is cool in the restaurant. I can't wait to return.

We were a party of seven. Out waiter was attentive and the food was plentiful and absolutely delicious! Most of us tried the triple pasta sampler and it was great to be able to try each. The “samples” were a full serving each.

We have dined at Lidia’s many times and considered Lydia’s a favorite until today. We were a party of two adults for a 3:45 reservation and were initially seated between two large families with several children on the lanai. We requested a new seat—and offered to wait—for a new seat that was less crowded. At the time, we did not know they closed at 4:00. Sad for wait staff that they take reservations for 3:45 when they close at 4. We were reseated, but only after we ordered, we were informed they were out of two of the offered entrees. They brought us the wrong drink order. The entrees remaining were either fish or vegetarian and not to expectations for Lydia’s $70 a plate. We ended up sending them back. Lidia’s manager kindly comped the meal that we did not eat, but we went home hungry on Thanksgiving. We were very disappointed.

I can't say enough good things about Lydia's. Their Thanksgiving menu was outstanding; the quality and quantity of food exceeded all expectations. And when we waffled between first not expecting all of our party to appear and then suddenly having 1 extra, they were kind, understanding, and bent over backwards to be accommodating.
