   Fabulous staff, venue and food. Went here for our 10th wedding anniversary and the staff in particular made this for us. Legacy at The Grand will soon be Michelin starred for sure. Up there with any single star experience we’ve had in England. Special heads up to the sommelier (sorry, didn’t get the name) and Hannah. Naturals.

   A really great meal. Service was attentive, and the food certainly of an AA 3 rosette quality but falling short of the Michelin star they are aspiring for. Stand out dishes were the scallop and langoustine. I really liked the intimate dining room too, which was a refuge from the rest of the hotel. We had the prestige wine pairings, which were lovely and expertly explained by Derek. I was, however, very disappointed that the names of each wine were not sent within the promised 48 hours via email, or indeed written down for us during the meal, as we requested. I found the practice of not pouring wines directly at the table very strange indeed. A good meal but some room for improvement especially at a price point of £500 for two.

   Absolutely fantastic meal - how they haven’t got a Michelin star yet is beyond me. I have eaten at so many top restaurants and the meal choice , the wine pairing was my favourite in 14 years ! Absolutely lovely and perfect

   The tasting menu was excellent, the sommelier’s recommendation on drinks was excellent, we made a mistake ordering the cheese board at the end of the meal, it was uninspired and spoiled an otherwise exceptional meal.

   Thanks again for another amazing evening of food, wine and enjoyment - I think this was my 5th visit and the experience never disappoints - such a great team that you can have fun with but who are also knowledgeable and friendly and help make the evening, together with great food and choices on a tasting menu so can explore what you want that evening as well - roll on the next visit - well worth going to spend an evening with this team - you won’t be disappointed!

   Not only is the food excellent with a variety of choices, the service is probably the best I have experienced in a uk restaurant. Lucky to live locally

   Wow. Blown away but an amazing gastronomic experience. Everything added to such a warm and pleasant evening - the attentive, warm, welcoming and extremely knowledgable staff; the ambiance and surrounding was totally harmonious to the whole tasting ,end experience, accompanied by a delightful selection of wines. Would highly recommend.
