La Gargamelle offre une expérience culinaire complexe et généreuse en proposant 7 services pour explorer continuellement de nouvelles associations de saveurs. De nature éclectique, le menu à la carte puise ses inspirations à travers le monde, offrant des plats tels que le magret de canard à la Pékin, le cassoulet, la morue au miso, un trou normand ou encore des huitres composées au yuzu et caviar de pineau des Charentes.

J’avais des appréhensions qui se sont avérées. Malheureusement, la scène culinaire de Montréal est trop bonne pour qu’on puisse apprécier. Le repas est correct sans plus. Rien qui ne justifie le prix astronomique de ce restaurant situé dans le secteur le plus touristique de Montréal et les prix qui l’accompagnent.

We had an outstanding experience at Le Gargamelle. We each got the 6 course meal, and every course was wonderful. The cured scallop was a favorite, but then so was the hamachi crudo, and the venison ragu…. It says a lot about the quality of the chef when the vegetable course, with winter vegetables, was a favorite of the table. And the service was amazing. Our 15yo asked for a mocktail similar to what he has had at a restaurant near home, and the bartenders did not disappoint—they made two, as a challenge, and were both excellent. Great food, great service, great physical space, and we will be back on our next trip to Montreal.

Everything was exceptional! We went there to celebrate our anniversary and they didn’t disappoint. The chef owner Lloyd and the server Mika were incredible and made sure our meal and drinks went above and beyond our expectations. The meal was so good my husband and I went back the next night!

I don’t write a lot of reviews but La Gargamelle was exceptional. The chef and owner, Lloyd greeted us when we arrived. He made some recommendations but everything we tried on the menu was fantastic. I had the scallop appetizer and duck for the main course. Both were delicious. My wife had the black cod and she raved about it. This is a hidden gem in Old Montreal. We will definitely be back!

This was my fifth time at Gargamelle. It is one of my favorite restaurants in the city and remains so. The vibe is super cool and comfortable and the food is fantastic. Can’t wait to return.

We had the early bird 4 course and loved each item. It was a great value. The attention to detail is incredible and the flavors are amazing. Have the oysters!

Absolutely spectacular dining experience 👌 The tasting menu was just the right size and delighted the eyes and the taste buds. Fresh, quality ingredients and attention to texture and balance made every bite a pleasure. Their unique fat-washed cocktails were top-notch and they have excellent wine selections. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, as if you're in someone's fancy loft, with a nice view of the Old Port. Perfect for date night! The service was exceptional, and this is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants in Montreal.
