LAVO Los Angeles is a 250-seat coastal Italian restaurant designed for an unparalleled, year-round alfresco dining experience. The restaurant offers an elevated indoor and outdoor dining experience while boasting a spacious sun-drenched dining room with a retractable roof, operable windows, and luxurious Italian furnishings throughout.

The kitchen is helmed by Chef Ralph Scamardella, whose menu balances dishes inspired by coastal southern Italy and influenced by Southern California produce while paying homage to LAVO’s signature Italian classics and his Italian-American background.

The beverage program features dramatic iterations on the classics alongside bold signature drinks. LAVO’s robust wine program complements the restaurant’s Italian inspiration and West Coast locale, featuring a vast selection of Old-World wines, as well as wines from California’s iconic regions.

    The food was good, the waiter was awesome, the prices were fair. The only thing that I did not find amusing was the $25 reservation fee and the $18 valet. Oh, and it was way too loud in there with the music and everything you can’t have a conversation.

    Thus review is strictly for the experience during Sunday Brunch. Make your reservations well ahead of time! We arrived at 1115am, and only a few people dining, then everyone and their mother showed up. While most of the food is great, the portions are very big for an endless brunch. You definitely get your money's worth, but if you run into something you're not too fond of, it does seem overwhelming. I honestly believe that smaller portions for the endless brunch service would be a very beneficial idea. We did have to wait quite a while in between our dishes coming out and frequently had empty an table and empty drink glasses, but everyone was hustling and doing what they could. Our egg dishes from our first order came out after we got our second order. The dessert spread is almost too pretty to partake.....almost. The rubber bottom of one of our table's legs did break off, so i did have to balance it for a while before i was able to flag someone down. Luckily the table was empty.

    Lavo is consistently very good. I like going there because they honor my request for a quiet table. They understand I and my brother-in-law both have hearing issues.

    Ordered the shrimp scampi it had more bread than shrimp in it. The steak was was overcooked and chewy and had no seasoning took a long extended time to get a waitress as well as a drink.

    Enjoyed the service, everyone was very attentive. Food was good as well. As far as the atmosphere I imagined a much cozier place but it was just a square restaurant. It might be just me because Instagram photos give off a different vibe versus reality.
