   I had high hopes for La Neta Cocina Y Lounge, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from start to finish. We arrived on time for our 7 PM reservation and were seated in a booth. However, the table was fixed in place, making it very uncomfortable. We asked our waiter if we could move to a regular table, and he told us we could pick any of the available ones. So, we relocated—only to be approached shortly after by the hostess in an incredibly unprofessional manner. Right in front of us, she questioned the waiter about why we were sitting there and insisted we move because the table was reserved. The entire interaction felt unnecessary and poorly handled, especially since we ended up sitting at another table where no one ever showed up for their supposed reservation. Now onto the food and service. We specifically came for Taco Tuesday, where they offer unlimited tacos for $20. I quickly realized why they do this—because they take forever to bring them out. We sat there for an hour and had only received six tacos, which they serve in sets of three at a time. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet the service was painfully slow. Our waiter was inattentive; we constantly had to track him down just to get water, order more drinks, or even ask for more tacos. We ended up staying for almost two hours, and in that time, the slow service never improved. Adding to the frustration, a mandatory 20% gratuity is included in the bill, meaning the servers have no real incentive to provide good service. The food itself was decent, but nothing spectacular, and certainly not worth the price or the hassle. Overall, La Neta Cocina Y Lounge is a hard pass for me. It’s overpriced, underwhelming, and staffed with inexperienced employees who lack customer service skills and any sense of urgency. If you’re thinking about going for Taco Tuesday—don’t bother. You’ll spend more time waiting.

   Drinks were not good. Sent most back. Ordered shrimp and lobster enchiladas and were served crawfish. Terrible. Will never go back

   I was so excited to have my birthday brunch here but it was the one Sunday they were not having a live DJ. In addition, the place was pretty empty however Chef E hooked it up for us and was amazing in accommodating our needs. I just wish the place was more of a vibe.

   We were the only guests in the restaurant at 5pm and the service was slow. It took 5 minutes just to get more water and our food was delivered before our drinks. There was no one at the bar. There were children running around the place (they must have belonged to an employee) the food was good and prices for happy hour were reasonable which was their saving grace.

   Our recent experience at the restaurant highlighted several issues that may be of interest to potential diners. We faced a lengthy wait time for seating, and after placing our order for chips and salsa, it took an additional 20 minutes for them to arrive. In total, we waited 45 minutes without receiving our food, which was particularly disappointing given that we were simply looking for light snacks rather than a full meal. Due to these delays and overall dissatisfaction with the service, we've decided not to return. There are numerous other dining options in Dallas that may provide a better experience.

   I made reservations for 12 to celebrate my birthday dinner and it was just an awful experience for us. We didn’t even have a waiter, we just had to flag down random people. It took 45 minutes for someone to take our order. We couldn’t even get water. Drinks were wrong, dishes wrong. I complained to the manager and he just gave me an attitude and sent someone over to give us water. Drinks are either heavily watered down or way too sweet! Only positive thing I can say is that the place is pretty.
