   Totally understand it was NYE, but honestly the restaurant wasn’t even full. There were tons of open tables. Which is why I’m not understanding how the service was so terrible. We waited 40 minutes from the time we finished our entree until we were able to flag down a server. We sat at 8:30 and didn’t leave until almost 11pm. Not because we were enjoying ourselves, but because the server would take 30-40 minutes to come see us. Food was bland and tasteless. Would not return.

   Took family to a NYE dinner reservation at 4:45pm…got seated on top floor for a party of 5 3 toddlers and pregnant wife when there was plenty of seating on main floor…wouldn’t be an issue until we found out the only restrooms in the restaurant was on main floor…3 flights of stairs on a rainy day..thanks…steaks were terrible…cuts were cheap and not worth it at all. We had a better dinner and service at PJ Clarks night before..the drinks…poorly prepared I had to stop ordering after 2nd drink…. Sad to say it but it was not worth it at all..we were really looking forward to a great dinner.

   I attended with a party of eight. Upon our arrival, the hostess did not greet us and merely inquired about the time of our reservation. The waiter, on the other hand, provided excellent service, offering thoughtful recommendations for both food and wine. Most of my guests were pleased with their meals, with the majority choosing beef. Unfortunately, my daughter ordered a Caesar salad and became ill with stomach issues approximately an hour later. The building’s decorations were truly impressive.

    I’ve seen other complaints about poor seating, so I was pleased that we were centrally located near the Christmas tree. The restaurant is nicely decorated for Christmas, but because it’s such a huge space with high ceilings, a large bar right in the middle, and loud music, it was incredibly noisy. We had onion soup, escargots, coq au vin, and entrecôte. All were very good - the entrecôte especially was cooked perfectly to medium rare, but rather oversalted. First few bites were amazing, but then the salt kind of took over. I’m a big fan of salt, so that’s saying a good bit. Service was just okay. Pacing was an issue - there was absolutely no pause whatsoever between appetizers and mains, so literally as soon as our app plates were removed, the entrees were immediately set down. Wine glasses were refilled only once and we refilled them ourselves the rest of the time. After we finished eating around 10-10:30, we still had some wine left and were engaged in conversation, but the check was brought without our asking, and then we were approached not just once but several times to ask if “everything was okay” because we hadn’t put down a credit card yet. By this time the restaurant was half empty so I can’t believe they needed to turn the table around. We really wanted a leisurely dinner and unfortunately felt rushed for most of the meal, which we tried hard to ignore.
