   Every time we dine at La Goulue in PB, we enjoy the cheerful and attentive service. Food was wonderful as always. The cheese soufflé and chocolate mousse were our more decadent faves this time!

   We have been and continue being loyal regular patrons of La Goulue in New York. We decided to give a try to La Goulue in Palm Beach with the expectation that our dining experience in Palm Beach would be equally satisfactory . Unfortunately , for instance, the portions of both the onion soup and the soufflé au fromage were noticeably smaller and somewhat more bland than their New York counterparts . They lacked that « zing » which make the onion soup and the cheese soufflé at the NY La Goulue an unforgettable , overwhelming and consistently delicious experience . On the other hand , the linguine with lobster sauce were very tasty . The waiter , Carlos , was very courteous , kind and professional . The team at the entrance was also very kind and accommodating . The true gastronomic disappointment and main difference between La Goulue Palm Branch and the experience of La Goulue in NY came with the dessert : île flottante . We were really looking forward to it . There is not a time we dine at La Goulue in New York and we do not fail to order the île flottante which is absolutely and consistently delicious . The vanilla flavor in the NY sauce version is just fantastic . Unfortunately, the sauce in the île flottante we had last night in the Palm Beach branch, was quite the opposite and it tasted like pure sour milk and was not at all pleasant to the taste buds, especially because when it was brought to the table , the caramélized sugar « dome » made the île flottante look aesthetically very appealing . As loyal patrons of La Goulue NY, we hope that the Palm Beach branch will address these issues , for instance improving the portions and emulating the rich , flavorful taste of the onion soup and of the cheese soufflé but also dramatically improve the preparation and taste of the île flottante , making it worthy of being called a « La Goulue île flottante »

   The food is truly top notch, creative and delicious but the noise level has a lot to be desired. Unfortunately it is so loud it is difficult to have a conversation.
