   It was my wife’s and mine first time there. We had been told by numerous friends and family that it was a terrific and a must go. We made reservations as recommended. When we walked in I was surprised how noisy it was and how much smaller the dinning room was than what I had expected. The hostess was nice and sat us at a very small table that with the normal things that are on the table did not leave much wiggle room for drinks and plates etc.. the tables are just a foot or 18” apart so you are really close to the people at the tables around you. It was uncomfortable. We were immediately greeted by our server who was fantastic . Received our drinks very quickly and ordered appetizers. They arrived in a short amount of time and were very good. Our waiter than took our dinner order. My wife ordered the scallops with risotto and I ordered the lasagna one of the house specialty’s, we both ordered a Cesar salad. The salad came and it was okay with what may have been just a bottled Cesar dressing. Our main course came and this is where I think it got really disappointing ,it was luke warm . My wife risotto was good but the scallops were raw and my lasagna was just all cheese. The red sauce on the lasagna was supposed to be a meat sauce but was more like a marinara but was the best part of the lasagna. We at very little of either entre opting to take it home. To there credit they did take the cost of my wife’s entre off of the bill. We ordered the crème bru le for desert and again that seemed to be more like a store bought versus made as it ordered. I was expecting this amazing experience after being told how great it was and I was just underwhelmed and a little disappointed. I have had better Italian at several other restaurants in town. The service was very good but the food and atmosphere was disappointing.

   Unfortunately this experience was a let down compared to previous experiences. Service was wonderful, excellent table but food was just so so. The bruschetta was a cold mess, which was sent back, artichoke hearts were very good, but lacked heat, Caesar salad was ok, my husband enjoyed the clam chowder, his chicken parmigiana was dreadful, my scallops were the highlight. Strawberry sorbet, how can that be bad, well it was, I am surprised the chef allowed food like this to come out of the kitchen. Might have to think twice about this restaurant when seeing a show at the Pioneer Theatre.

   We had Brussels sprouts appetizer, which was delicious. Wish I could get the recipe. The blackened Branzino was delicious. The Salmon was good but not as wonderful as the Branzino. The wine was reasonably priced. Overall a great meal!

   Had limited time before going to the theater. They got us in and out on time with great service. Food is always delicious

   The restaurant is very nice inside and the wait staff was very pleasant. Atmosphere was pleasant. Honestly we did not feel that the food was any better than ordinary.
