Kuon Omakase offers a truly unique dining experience, where you can entrust the chef to create a 20-course menu of the freshest sushi and sashimi. The menu changes daily depending on the season and produce available from the local fish market. You can expect dishes like osetra caviar with sea urchin and toro tartare, steamed abalone with abalone liver and sea urchin sauce, and Japanese egg custard with snow crab meat and netsuke monkfish liver. Matching wine and sakes can be added to complete the experience.

By choosing this menu, it will apply to the entire booking. The Omakase is priced at $230 per person. Kuon Omakase's "modern Japanese Edomae sushi" is a further evolution of "how to enjoy sushi". Based on the basic principles of "Fresh & Aged Eclectic" and "Fusion of East and West," aged sushi is served with sake. Contrast of light and shade with sushi made from fresh fish caught off the coast of Australia. The head chef's really good at livening up the atmosphere, and the food is cute and fine. What really bugs me is that the waitress gave my friend those brown garbage napkins you'd only get at the food court, but gave the people at the next seat white napkins that are more suitable for a fine dining omakase restaurant. I've got no idea why they did that. This kind of discriminatory cost - saving move really put a damper on our mood.

The food was bland, and we were charged $60 for a celebration cake that I didn't order. The cake was small and tasteless (basically all cream). It was not worth the $600AUD+ that we paid. Dishes were unoriginal and all a bit similar.

Amazing experience at Kuon. Everything served was fresh and quality. Love this menu. Would love to come back another time in a new season for a different menu. Definitely recommend!

Spectacular. Easily one of the best meals I've had anywhere in the world. Such a unique experience. The staff were incredible, and created the most beautiful, relaxed environment.

I chose a premium course to celebrate my partner’s birthday. The food was very delicious and clean. The dishes were served at a comfortable pace, making the omakase dining experience feel unhurried and enjoyable. We also received a big birthday cake, bigger than we’ve ever gotten from a restaurant before, which was a wonderful surprise and left a great impression. The price was a bit high, but it was acceptable considering the overall experience was excellent.

Two chefs on shift. Got stuck in the middle between two groups.. Because we went for the premium experience we were sat furthest away from the chef who had to deal with a group of drunk wealthy bogans. So we were ignored for long periods of the night. Very average experience

Amazing experience. The chef was full of character and had lots of fun with the diners and explained the courses well. The service was great and the food was delicious. The wine pairing was a bit too much on the sweet side for my liking but was nice to taste a range of different sakes.

a fantastic experience with some of the best and freshest seafood I've tried in my life (and I've had alot of seafood and Japanese food). Food was fresh and delicious, it is miles ahead of your typical sushi train. It was lovely conversing with the chef and learning about the produce.
