   Best Thai food I’ve had in Toronto. Everything was fresh and full of flavour and well executed. Wok hei on the pad sew ew, deep flavour in the curries and tender crispy pork belly. Will definitely go back. Only negative was the service rushing our table of 4 out the door in less than an hour and a half.

   We received exceptional service at Koh Lipe and enjoyed our dinner very much! We were celebrating my sisters birthday and they went above and beyond to make sure she had a wonderful celebration! We can’t wait to return for the best food and service in Toronto!

   Some upfront details -- FYI if you reserve on OpenTable they require a $20 pp hold. The other thing to note is that they will not allow separate or split bills for the table. They will only allow 1 bill for the entire table and you'll have to sort it out for yourself. Not something I have seen in recent times anywhere else. This is a Michelin recommended restaurant. Very laid back but festive vibe. The good: - Excellent Pad Thai (either chicken or shrimp). The table was unanimous about that. - The braised beef Khao soi was pretty good as well - prices are very reasonable including those for wine and cocktails. - service was prompt. The not so good: - we ordered appetizers and had barely started eating them when our mains showed up (I'm talking like 2-3 minutes here). All of a sudden we are scrambling to find space on the table and then have to decide what do we let get cold. - we ordered the Gai Gor Lae and it did not look like the picture and indeed the sauce did not taste like coconut curry to me but instead almost like a bbq sauce. Live and learn I guess. I will say that when someone came by and asked how we were doing, we did tell them what happened. They then spoke to the manager and removed one item from our bill and gave us a discount on the appetizers. That was appreciated. I would just caution people to be aware when ordering. And make sure you tell your server you want the appetizers first and some time before the mains come over. For a Michelin recommended restaurant we did expect more. Just saying. It's located on Baldwin so not a ton of parking close by. Some street and a couple of Green P lots a decent walk away.

   Here is a very honest review of this restaurant. The Chicken Pad Thai was the most delicious Pad Thai my husband and I have ever eaten in our lives. The Pineapple Rice was also delicious, but we literally are planning to go back for that Pad Thai this weekend; we can't stop thinking about it. It was soooooo flavorful! And we got it spicy, and our lips were burning and our noses were running and we didn't care. The Milk tea was such a beautiful compliment to the Pad Thai. Its so refreshing, We should have ordered 2 of these. Now for the bad. On entering the restaurant the smell of fish was overpowering and a bit off putting. My Husband has sensitive smell and was very turned off by this, however, after being in the space for about 15 mins the you get used to it. We ordered wings as an appetizer, they were not flavourful at all. They were fried to perfection however they did not have any seasoning or taste. The Sauce that the wings were paired with was delicious and every bite had to have it on it, but, the wings were not seasoned. The space is a bit cramped where we sat however, I did see other areas that had more space so I guess we just got sat in that area because it was just two of us. Did the Pad Thai make up for the unseasoned chicken? Yes. Did the smell stop us from eating? No. Would I go back? Hell Yes. Bye!

   The restaurant smelled bad, the server told us 1.5 hour seating limit, which is fine. But at an hour and 10 min once we paid and were just talking the server asked us to free up the table in 10 min. I didn’t like being rushed. The food was good, but nothing phenomenol.

   Me and 2 friends, a total of 3 people. We booked a table at 6:15pm. And I think we started sitting at the table and ordering food at 6:30pm and we finished eating earlier than 7:30pm. At that time, we saw the service attitude of the staff that they wanted to chase away the customers, urging them to hurry up. Typically, our group had just taken the last food on the table and put it on our plate, then the staff took that plate and the accompanying dipping sauce without asking anything. When other tables paid the bill, I saw that the staff's attitude was very bad and they also talked about the tip issue with other tables. I don't understand why they set the tip percentage as 18-20-30, that's very unreasonable. If you are in doubt about the tip, the staff will rush you to pay (especially an older female staff who often calculates the bill for other tables) My bill was $82.70 + 18% tip which is $97.58. That would be normal for a table of 3 and for me because I usually tip 18% or more. But for this restaurant, I feel it is not worth it and I will not return.

    Food is soo delicious here! My favourite Thai place in Toronto - and that's saying a lot! Service could be better (more attentive and available), but I still always enjoy a delicious Thai meal here! Can't wait to be back.
