   There were 4 in our party. We had 3 different starters, Mackerel, croquettes and white pudding scotch egg. All were excellent. We only had 2 different main courses, the venison pie and the stone bass with additional skinny fries. Again, both mains were excellent. One dessert of pumpkin cake - again excellent. We couldn't fault the quality of these meals.

   Staff were lovely, food was very impressive - high level presentation. They catered to our father who is slightly hard of hearing. Very pleased and will definitely come back.

   Excellent roast dinner -Special of the day was lamb for sharing. Plenty of tasty sides to accompany the roast and the Bergamot meringue tart for dessert was delicious. Service was really good.

   First time for Sunday lunch. After several week night and Saturday visits we ended up planning our whole weekend around being in Hitchin for Sunday lunch - and OMG it was worth it. Beautiful roast lamb, amazing roast potatoes, lots of veg and gravy and huge Yorkshire pudding. It was the first time and it won’t be the last.

   Had a lovely 3 course meal here, special food mentions being the crème brûlée special and the pie! The waitresses Freya and Liv were both very attentive and knowledgable.
