Great place but portions are small for the price. Drinks are expensive too. We paid over $100 for a pizza, caesar salad, and order of rigatoni with 2 glasses of wine.

As year rounders this was not our first time at Kiki's but it is doubtful we will be back anytime soon. A table of 5 - we ordered a pizza and 2 salads to start. Our waiter asked that we order our main dishes at the same time so that everything could be paced out - so we did. One couple ordered the Linguine and clams to share. Another ordered Linguine and clams, there was a pizza main and a 1/2 order of chicken parm. We waited over 45 minutes after our starters for our main course, we had to wave down the sommelier to ask where our server and food was. Then two orders arrived but the others did not for another 12 - 15 minutes. And when the pasta arrived that the couple that had requested to share, it was not split. And it was then and only then that the server said "oh we don't split"...something that should have been mentioned when we ordered all that time ago. All who had the Linguine told the waiter it was overly garlic - almost to the point of unable to eat. The chicken parm was cool and pretty tasteless. And to top it off their corkage was $35.00 per bottle - a bit steep for this particular establishment. At no time did the waiter apologize for the food being served at different times or that we were unhappy with the over and under seasoning. I must admit the previous times we have eaten here the food was much much better and the timing of the food was absolutely better. For us, coming from Rancho Mirage - it was not a worthwhile trip and we wont be back anytime soon.

Sorry to hear about your experience. There is no excuse for your server not apologizing, & that will be dealt with. Beyond that, unfortunately 3 crucial staff members called out sick & we had no one to fill in. No excuse but I hope you can understand it was an extremely difficult night for us.

The Restaurant was very busy but we were seated at a small table near the bar as soon as we arrived. Hostess was very nice. Our server stopped by, we ordered drinks and said we would wait a little while before ordering. I ordered a house vodka with an ice back and the glass was smaller than is used at most bars. My companion ordered house red wine and it was served in a drinking glass! Maybe they are trying to be a little cute??? Menu was interesting and we ordered a couple of appetizers, fried artichoke bites......just ok ...and Rice balls...excellent and priced reasonably. Finally got our servers attention, asked her several questions about the menu and she was very knowledgeable. We both decided to have the half portion of fried chicken Piccata with a side of spinach. The cost was $34 for the half portion and there was enough chicken to cover the whole plate, it was over cooked and it was sitting in sauce that had not been spread over the chicken.. I took 2/3 of the meat home. The spinach flavor was good but it was swimming in oil! Our server said they cook the spinach in a garlic flavored oil but it was not edible.....way too much. When the bill came we were a little shocked....two drinks...one wine and one vodka $36.00 plus appetizer, main course, spinach.... with tip it was almost $100 and way to pricey for what we received. We both said we wouldn't be coming back. This is the first time in over 25 years I have written a review that is negative but felt it was necessary.. I hope they make a go of the business as the ambiance is wonderful!

Very sorry to hear you were upset with your order! We do not spread the sauce on the chicken as it makes it soggy almost immediately, but have been looking into serving the sauce on the side for guests to pour themselves! The spinach is changing to not have that oil, we agree that it is too much! Regarding your drinks, our wine is served in a traditional Italian wine glass that is meant for casual dining & smaller tables! It allows for more space at the table & less breakage! We do have other glasses available if you prefer. Just to break down the cost of everything, Fried artichokes 22 Arancini 3 ea Fried chicken picatta 34 Spinach 9 2 drinks 36 Unfortunately this is now normal pricing for dishes with high quality ingredients as we are in an extremely expensive state!

We were very disappointed with our last trip to Kiki's. This was our 5th time dining with them, and it was a very huge disappointment. 3 of the 4 meals were less than satisfactory. ... over salted pasta, chewy pasta, rubbery and not fresh ... it felt like the meals were prepared the day before. We asked for a substitute pasta noodle and were flat out told no substitutions on ANY items. It was a small request for a noodle change. ...no substitutes for sides either. We brought family here and were looking forward to a nice meal... it was so disappointing....I never write poor reviews, but I could not ignore this one this time around. Kikis has gone downhill, we won't be back and can no longer recommend them.

The six of us all agreed that every bite of our delicious meal at Kiki’s was a revelation. Flavors were complex and delicate, but vibrant. How is that possible? We shared two kinds of light, puffy pizza, a salad, a pasta and the clams. We can’t wait to experience everything on the delightful menu.

Another fully amazing experience. Fresh leadership in the front of the house has clearly elevated the experience. Outstanding food, always great drinks and wines to choose from and the service is attentive, genuine and uncomplicated. Super!
