This was our first time at Khazana. We have been to other modern Indian cuisine in Palo Alto and are a big fan. The food at Khazana beat our expectations. I would highly recommend the assorted papad to start along with some small plates. We tried the Verki chicken and Lamb chops. Both were perfectly cooked and spiced. Spiced for flavor not heat. Then we tried the signature dish Shaam Savera just cause this was the dish that made this chef famous. Along with Garlic Naan (best i have ever had), it was a great experience. To finish we had the Gulab Jamun and yet again this was the best version of this dessert i have ever had. The service was great, ambience is good though the internal decor could be better. The food is amazing and definitely worth the price. Complements to the chef for recreating such traditional flavors with a modern touch.

I was really hoping to love this place, but the food fell way too short! The service was really good, the place is pretty and feels upscale yet not uptight, but all that got overshadowed by the mediocre food. We had the edamame pani puris, jackfruit tacos and veggie biryani and all three were very very basic. They were presented very nicely but the flavors were bland. I wasn’t expecting authentic Indian flavors because it is a fusion but nothing really hit the mark. I hope they improve the food. I will likely go back one more time and try something else to give them another chance but won’t be top of my list, sadly. :(

Nice ambiance, decent food, good service. Pani poori, Khichadi, Shrimps, Daal, Breads were enjoyable. Would be trying Chicken tariwala next time we visit this place.

Very bad experience!! The food was not that great. Cost was very high. The restaurant was very very very noisy. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable. The temperature setting was not good. The service was average. The waiters were very nice , but service was mediocre.

Loved the food… everything we tried was delicious .. great service … employees were polite and friendly. The only thing we found disappointing was “ kitchen open item charge $5 per person ( cake fees ) as they had to serve the cake we took to celebrate the birthday of a family member.

Very small quantities for the price you pay. Same sauce and chutneys for all appetizers. Very limited options to chose from. Not worth the money you end up paying for the quantities you get.

We went with a little higher expectations and were disappointed. The menue was short as expected. The food was of average quality. The staff was less attentive than expected. There was not much to choose from for desert. Overall the experience was underwhelming. I think the restaurant can de better.
