Kellari Taverna is located in the heart of New York City, three blocks from Grand Central Station, Times Square and the Theater District. The dining room décor evokes a subterranean wine cellar designed with contemporary elegance. Kellari features the traditional Greek taverna specialties, such as our signature grilled whole fish, prime lamb chops and chicken meats, and an eclectic selection of contemporary Hellenic savory appetizers ("mezedes") created by our Executive Chef. The Kellari dessert menu includes innovative specialties such as warm sokolata with goat milk vanilla ice cream as as well as traditional favorites such as Baklava and bougatsa. Kellari Taverna offers an extensive international wine list featuring a large selection of Greek wines.

    Excellent choice for a pre-theater dinner. We enjoyed the prix fix menu. Met all our expectations. They were very sweet for my birthday. Would definitely recommend!

    We were 15-20 minutes late to be seated, which was a drag because we had theater tickets. The wait staff was fantastic, however, and ensured that our orders were taken, and meal delivered, quickly to make up for lost time. The apps and vegan moussaka were fantastic. Fish dish a tad bland. Still, I would come back again next time I am in NY

    Service was excellent. Drinks and food were very good. Brunch menu had plenty of variety. We went w multi appetizers to try a variety. Octopus would have been enough for a small meal and was very tender. Calamari as well. Haloumi was good not great. Would love to try their full menu..fish selection looked great. Shame not open mid week lunch. Will definitely add to list.
