   As always the food, service, and ambiance were great! We enjoy Kapa Hale for the variety of well-prepared, delicious small plates. 6-8 small plates should are perfect for two people, and offer a nice variety for your meal. 😀

   Everything was tasty and the arancini was extra special! Our waiter was patient and explained everything. Service is friendly too!

   I always look forward to Kapa Hale's Noodle Bar. The duck ramen is the BEST. The lilikoi cheesecake ice cream was the perfect dessert to end the meal. Lilikoi and cream cheese notes came through deliciously with the graham cracker dusting adding the finishing touch to the cheesecake. Looking forward to dining at the next Noodle Bar event.

   I don’t understand all the accolades and hype of this place. We came here when it first opened and were not impressed but we decided to give it another try with the holiday special noodle lunch and were sorely disappointed, yet again. The restaurant tries to look nice and sophisticated but the execution falls short. Kapa Hale feels vaguely off starting with the uncomfortable chairs and cluttered decor. We made reservations and were seated 30 minutes after our reservation time. We had the special holiday oxtail pho and duck ramen noodles. The Oxtail was delicious like corn beef style preparation. The duck ramen was nothing special but for $25 a bowl, I was hoping for better quality meats and higher flavor profiles. Everything just tasted way too salty.

   Made a reservation for inside and when I got there I was told they were busy and may not he able to accommodate my reservation. Food was a little salty and mustard seeds were over used in the dishes.

   Food was very good, however the wait was over 45 minutes to receive our entree. The “bread” basket only was delivered after inquiring w/the server. A bit noisey from a large group talking & 2 couple of women behind us w/1 woman taking sooo loud & inconsiderate of other guests dining.

    We were so disappointed with our experience at Kapa Hale. Based on the good reviews and the other outstanding restaurant experiences we had while staying in Kahala, we were not expecting a bad experience. Unfortunately, we found the following: - the service was extremely slow, we were not offered water or had drink orders taken until we had already been seated for 25 mins - the bathrooms were not clean and had an 'ick' factor - the server was slovenly: sweaty, careless with putting food down (spilled salad dressing all over the table and then carelessly cleaned it up) - the food did not meet expectations at all (it was salty, overly saucy or too much dressing, the taste of most dishes just was plain not good) - 1 out of 4 of us had stomach issues the next day - it was our most expensive meal while in Oahu and was the least enjoyable The place was packed so they must be doing something right, but we just didn't see it.
