   Amy was an amazing addition to our experience at Kampi! She, along with her manager made the best suggestion and absolutely made our Christmas Eve meal over the top!

   We booked for dinner at 5pm and were lucky to take advantage of the 5-6pm happy hour! Loved the carafe of sake (Bushido), the karage (fried chicken), we also got the shrimp ceviche, and one of each roll ( tuna, salmon, and shrimp tempura). The miso soup was perfect! Also you must try the cocoa creme brulee!! Great ambiance and service! I’m so glad I got to go here for my birthday!

   Making a reservation at Kampala on Open Table is a complete failure. If you reserve upstairs be aware that 2/3rds of the menu is not available. This is not in any way communicated when you reserve a table. For reasons the staff is unable to explain they are not able to bring food up the elevator. On a previous visit in summer we were sitting outside on the roof deck which was fine until it started raining literally sideways, The staff made no effort to accommodate us inside out of the rain, so we just had to leave. Hardly the service one would expect from what is otherwise one of the best restaurants in Jackson.

   The food quality is unbelievably good always, and the service surprised me every time. This time chef Christopher and server Tim(?) made my evening just fantastic.

   As always .. Kampai did not disappoint! The food was fantastic and we love sitting at the bar, where the bartenders are quick to make excellent recommendations.

   We had a fabulous meal at Kampai. Our family loves to visit Kampai when they’re visiting us here in Jackson. Definitely worth a visit!
