   It had been years since I've visited and was pleased to find it was just as delicious as ever. Our server, Sierra, took care walking us through the current menu. As is past visits, we received a yum amuse-bouche to start us on our perfect meal. Preparation was superb, and flavors were too die for. Will be back again.

   The food was excellent! We tried the bone marrow, sour dough bread, burrata and Beets, tostada and lamb. The lamb was very tender, but I would probably try something less gamey tasting next time. Not the restaurants fault. For desert got the bundt cake which was wonderful too. Key is to try many different plates to enjoy the experience. Will definitely come back!

   Wonderful dinner at Juniper and Ivy. Started with our hostess, don’t know her name-blond hair-very personable and friendly. Tried about 8-9 different things, all very good. Particularly enjoyed the bluefin crudo, oyster sisig, pork belly, squash blossom and uni crab puff. Very well executed mushroom risotto with black truffle, just wish it had been a little better seasoned. Good cocktails and a wonderful German Chardonnay. Very professional and attentive service, all around. Can’t wait to go back

   Great food and ambience. The food itself was all excellent, and represented good value I’d say. The wine by the glass selection was small, but offered a sufficient spread of different styles. Great cocktails, both signature and classics.

   Experience was subpar for a San Diego dining establishment. Arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation, but was told we would need to wait the 10 minutes for our table even though the restaurant was less than 1/3 full (reservation was for 6:30 pm). PRETENSION!! Once seated waited 25 minutes for our cocktails. Dinner service from then on was spotty at best, given how little we ordered. Been coming to J&I whenever we visit San Diego over the last 6 years and have to say we are less impressed each time.

    First-rate experience! From the moment we stepped inside until the moment we stepped outside, we were welcomed and greeted by every person with sincerity and kindness. Initially, we had booked a table on the floor but a last minute change allowed us to up our reservation by 1.5 hours. The change moved us from the floor to the counter where the genius was happening. We were so thankful for the change and being able to see all that happens in the kitchen. Smiles, laughter, and intentional placement on dishes was heartwarming. The taste of our food was just as amazing. We started with the wagyu biscuits and rockfish tostados. We split the lamb entree with pickled cucumbers and onions paired with naan and a perfect dipping sauce. We were only able to eat one of the skewers of lamb. Everything was delightful and hit our palates perfectly. Did I mention the great Buffalo Trace old fashion?! Wonderful experience! Our favorite spot, so far, in San Diego. Keep rockin’ it out, Team Juniper & Ivy!
