Chef Joseph Wrede is a Food & Wine Best New Chef, the winner of several AAA Four Diamond Awards, several DiRoNA Awards and has received both Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast distinctions. Joseph’s Culinary Pub is a creation of Chef Wrede and his creative and business partners. This is the third incarnation of Wrede’s original Joseph’s Table, conceived in Taos, New Mexico, not quite 20 years ago, for which he is well known and loved within the region and beyond. Joseph’s Culinary Pub is designed to be a platform for Chef Wrede’s unique and uncompromising vision on traditional and contemporary cuisine, both regional and international. Regarding the restaurant as a process much like theater, Wrede envisions the experience of dining in his restaurant as an interactive play between the pub and the public, with his sights aimed at rivaling high art.

Joseph's has been a favorite of Santa Fe locals for more than a decade. We dined there again last night. Keeps getting better and better. Many imaginative food offerings. Carefully curated wine list with variety of prices. Knowledgeable , friendly service.

Food and atmosphere were great! Our server was curt and borderline dismissive. It's unfortunate but really, the food saved our experience.

Two of us. We had the tamale starter, the chile relleno starter, I think it's called the warm bacon salad, then the crispy chicken main, the vegetarian enchilada main, and finished with the chocolate cake and lemon custard I think it's called, both with complimentary after dinner drinks. I also had an Old Fashioned and my partner had a local beer. Total with tip was around $275. All items were very good, but I'd say it started slow and got better and better. It's hard to imagine a vegetarian enchilada being that elevated, but it was, and possibly the best dish of the night. The service was excellent but not outstanding as 5 stars says. Overall a really sweet and lovely pre-Valentine's dinner. Pricey? Sure, but we knew that going in. We talked about going one night to sit at the bar and eat, something more laid back. We'll see.

Our waiter got one order completely wrong. Rather than hold up the other diners at our table the customer decided to accept the wrong order. Waiter showed diner where he had written her order down as served. In other words, it was her mistake, not the waiter's. Needless to say this was a bit offensive. Otherwise all went well with food and service.

The duck-fat-fried polenta exceeded expectations. Save room for the butterscotch pudding.

Always excellent food with many gluten free options. Excellent service. My only complaint is that it is very noisy in many parts of the restaurant.
