Josephine is the latest concept from James Beard nominated Chef Michael Scelfo of smash hits Alden & Harlow, Waypoint, and The Longfellow Bar.

Josephine is a celebration of family and food, focused on Italian favorites and simple pleasures.

Josephine features deep dish & thin wood fired pizzas and whimsical riffs on classic Italian foods, all set in a lively space. A massive marble bar with craft cocktails, ice cold martinis on tap, and a huge out door space that's dog friendly with an outdoor bar and fire pit will bring you back again and again.

Great food, ambience, and service! Great for large group (we had a group of 7). Cocktails were great and food portions were huge. Would definitely go back!

We were a little bit disappointed. The sauce on the rigatoni was actually sweet. The whipped ricotta had so much cracked pepper garnish that it was not edible. The chicken parm portion was ridiculous - too big. The cod was OK, zeppole was very good. Atmosphere was great, service was good.

Food was very good and reasonably priced. Service was excellent. Setting is attractive. Noise was painful, maybe because of a private party happening in a screened off section just behind us.

We had a great experience at Josephine's. The maî·tre d'gave us a warm welcome, and the ambience was inviting - attractive decor, not too noisy, just the right amount of energy. Grace, our server, was attentive and fun, and the food was really delicious. We had a party of six, so we sat at a table, but next time we visit, my partner and I look forward to dining at the beautiful bar. Highly recommend Josephine's, a great addition to Somerville.

Great service and excellent food no need to hit up the North end for any reason. Chef owner Scelfo seems to have the magic touch by adding this restaurant to his other 3 in Cambridge
