Disappointed with the service level at this location - have enjoyed and have become used to much better service levels at other Joeys locations......welcome, time to be seated, accuracy of order, time to get drinks / cutlery......

We were 15 min late but no problem we were seated within 5 min. I rated it a 4 because we sat in the part where they open the garage doors in the summer. It was a cold night…-11C, so the space was very cold I had to drape my winter coat around me. Space heaters would have helped. We had a show to get to and we informed the server right away which expedited our meals. They were excellent. We had a really good experience despite the cold.

Not the best experience overall. Service was very slow getting started -more than 10 min at the table before acknowledged. Server was nice. I have Celiac and confirmed with the restaurant before booking that I would be fine. Based on responses to specific questions, I booked. The menu does not properly identify GF items. The waitress was unsure of what was really GF, and was only certain of a few things. After a bit of back and forth, the manager of the area came over to discuss options. Discovered one of the items the waitress confirmed as GF was, in fact, not. The manager also stated the fries were GF and in the same sentence confirmed they are fried in a shared frier - so there is no way the fries could be considered GF. Her logic was a potato is GF therefore a fries were GF. That’s not how it works. It was pretty concerning that staff and a manager would not be aware of food allergies (diseases) - especially one as severe as Celiac. So, no side of fries. Instead, Cobb salad, which is fine. But their version of a Cobb salad is lettuce and dressing. That’s it. Nothing else. Overall, not a great - or safe - experience. Be careful.

The worst fish tacos I’ve ever had in a restaurant, filled with iceberg lettuce, and topped with radish slices?! Barely any fish inside two measly tacos priced at $22.50. Ridiculous $13 tiny, tiny kids portion of spaghetti (my child was still hungry after and we had to get takeout from elsewhere). Distracted service (by a not very friendly main server) kept forgetting to bring things we asked for, including my beverage. Very cold sitting in what is usually the completely glassed in patio area on a freezing winter night. Overpriced, overhyped mediocre food.

I am really disappointed with our visit to JOEY Eaton Centre. First, when we arrived we were seated downstairs in a noisy area by the bar even though my reservation said "Upper Lounge" Seating person + waitress had no idea and seemed a little clueless, but the GM came over and apologized and offered us a table upstairs, which we took (because that is what we came for). Once we got upstairs, we were offered two small samples of Prosecco, but I do not drink alcohol so I'm a little bothered about why JOEY's would naturally assume that with patrons, but I appreciate the kind gesture. When our drink order was taken, my guest was brought the wrong glass of wine (Pinot Grigio instead of Pinot Noir), and I did not get my limes with my ginger beer which I asked for, and they were never brought even during the course of our visit. Then over 20 minutes later, our order was finally taken. Yam fries (app) came to the table - no napkins, side plates, cutlery, nothing. Which is honestly ironic and very embarrassing on JOEY's end because front house staff, including the manager, were polishing cutlery at the time in the corner. So when our Yam fries were done, still without the above, and our mains were brought out, I commented about no napkins/cutlery/plates for Yam fries and received a passive apology. No check in or follow up from the manager either. I want to know why? Food was great, we ordered desert. But the service was so below par - at one point there were 4 staff upstairs, including the manager, just standing around talking, eating - when tables needed to be cleared, we were not tended to as much as we would have liked, and given the JOEY brand and elite status that is acknowledged with the company - this was certainly not something observed during our visit. Very disappointed.
