   The ambience and food was lovely (Although I do not recommend the lump crab cake as it was too acidic and we left that dish as no one at the table enjoyed it). The steaks were cooked to perfection. The mashed potato was DIVINE! They bought my daughters mocktail to the table but we sat for ages waiting for the other three drinks. We had to ask our waiter to and check on the drinks. It is an expensive restaurant but has tacky paper serviettes and take out chopsticks on the table. It cheapens an expensive experience. There were plenty of waiters around yet we sat with our empty glasses and plates in front of us! I had a ask a passing waitress to clear our table. When we finished eating dinner our waiter asked if we wanted dessert. We said No as we were all so full - He left the dirty dishes in front of us and brought the check over? How about you clear the table THEN bring the check. On the booking form they asked if it was a special occasion - I said we were celebrating a Birthday. Not sure the point of that as there was no mention of a birthday or a happy birthday or anything - Don;t ask if you are not going to do anything with the information! Just saying! It was nice but $350 for 4 people I can't say I will go back!

   The pork dumplings were great! The chicken wings were dry as was the chicken in the Mediterranean bowl. Other than the dryness of the chicken, the flavor of the Mediterranean bowl was good. The drinks were slow to come out, and we were one of only 4 tables in the entire restaurant. We got our food before we got our drinks. If you’re open at 11:00 on Sat and Sun, you ought to have a couple of brunch items. $170 for 2 people for lunch seemed pricy.

   Food was alright, definitely have had better elsewhere. Portions were okay for prices. Although still didn’t get too full with my meal. Drinks were good, I like sweet drinks and I feel like they needed a little more of alcohol. I could barely taste it. Overall it was alright, don’t think I’ll go again.

   Had dinner for the first time at JOEY Dallas on a Thursday night. Staff is friendly. They offer a small flute of sparkling wine as you check in for the reservation. The menu is not complicated and has some “interesting” food combinations. My friend and I both had a house salad, which is fantastic, the beef carpaccio(very good & shareable) and the cod tacos(just ok). It was a good experience and our server was a complete delight.

    This was our third trip to Joey. We enjoy the vibe. Music, lighting, Prosecco upon arrival.
