   Honestly, I don’t want to come back here. While we were still eating and having a conversation, the staff kept coming over at least 4–5 times asking if they could clear our plates. It felt rushed and uncomfortable, as if we were being told to leave. Also, I ordered a lunch set menu, but they changed it to a regular menu without letting me know or explaining the price difference. Really disappointing experience overall.

   Brunch on weekends, Truly the only place to go for a perfect breakfast. absolute great food and service, love love our waitress, fortunately we are lucky enough to get her each Sunday when we go.

   We had a wonderful dinner at Joe Fortes tonight. We have eaten here several times over the last 10 years and the experience never disappoints. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation time and the hotness honored our request for a booth in the main dining area. The table was perfectly prepared and the seats were comfortable. Our server Spencer greeted us promptly, filled our water glasses and presented the fresh sheet options while we browsed the menu. We ordered the wedge salad to share while the bar prepared our libations and we decided on dinner. Everything on the menu looked delicious and we decided to try the surf and turf experience. A generous offering of scallops and prawns with beurre blanc, whole lobster, snow crab, prawns and a NY strip grilled to perfection. The meal also included sides to share including mashed potatoes; broccoli and roasted carrots platted on individual plates. The timing of our food from our server was executed flawlessly. Spencer attended to our every need appearing table side at exactly the right moment. The surf and turf presentation was impressive and we could hardly wait to try it. Everything was just perfect. For dessert we shared pavlova with fresh strawberries. It was the most beautifully prepared and best dessert I have ever enjoyed. I highly recommend it.

   I have a lot of allergies and the staff took great care of me and my meal. I had the Sirloin Steak with substituted roast potatoes and broccolini/asparagus side. Everything was cooked to perfection. My out-of-town friend had the Seafood Cioppino and he absolutely loved the meal and plans to come back to try out something else on the menu.

   This place is so good and charismatic. When my husband said he wanted to go to an old school chophouse, I was apprehensive. This place exceeded expectations. The service was so good! Our waiter was so attentive and helpful. The food was delicious!!!! I got the miso fish and the beef carpaccio as the app. Soooo flavorful and the perfect amount of richness. Our child got the calamari and it was so tender. There’s a live pianist which really adds to ambiance. Highly recommend.

   An old fashioned bustling chop house feel reminiscent of some of the great steakhouses in NYC. Food was very good service was superlative. Menu has something for everyone. Recommended but not inexpensive.

   Joe Fortes has slowly slipped into mediocre. The food is disappointingly average. The name and ambience remain its strongest suit. I had fish and chips. The fish was soggy and the fries a plateful of 2 inch pieces and way too salty. The Cobb salad was ok, and the lobster roll was the best of the lot. The service started off inattentive until our last blonde haired dinner arrived.

    I absolutely loved my dinner experience at Joe Forte's in Vancouver. This is a great restaurant for special occasions or a nice treat for the family. Our server Emma did an outstanding job making us feel at ease and being attentive to our needs. The menu has a wide array of options and I would definitely recommend the Oysters and Crab & Corn fritters for appetizers. They also have an extensive wine list, cocktail menu, and mocktail options. I got the To Paradise mocktail which I really enjoyed. There are many options for main courses including the seafood market trio special. I got a sirloin steak with tiger prawns as an add on for the surf and turf option. We also shared a Mac and Cheese for the table. For dessert, they gave us a delicious creme brule on the house as my aunt was visiting from out of town. We also indulged in the chocolate sin cake. Overall, everything was delicious and memorable. Definitely recommend but be prepared for a large bill at the end.
