   We had the calamari, crawfish gumbo, fried catfish, crab cake, chocolate chip cookies, and key lime pie. The only items we finished were the crawfish gumbo and crab cake. Nothing was great, nothing had a lot of flavor. It was meh, at best. We won’t go back. The service was perfectly good, but the food wasn’t.

   Salmon was good. No more fresh cut fries. Pasta was good. Grilled oysters mediocre

   WONDERFUL! With the exception of random rude patrons but other than that, truly excellent! Service was absolutely amazing and we love the 20% gratuity to the entire team! Well done and way to set the standard!

   Initial server was simply awkward. No confidence in his greet or table presence. He was a great runner though. .

   I live a couple of blocks away and have been meaning to try out Jax. Amazing ambiance and great food! Portions were just right and the seafood tasted very fresh (especially for a land locked state). The service, however, fell a bit short. Long wait times and multiple staff members tending to us but in a disorganized fashion. It took us an hour and a half for our main meal. I believe the price range of this restaurant should also reflect in the service as it did the food. If you’re not in a rush, give this place a try! I would like to try this place for HH as other reviews recommend.
