   We celebrated our 50th and 51st wedding anniversaries at J Gilbert’s. We were so impressed last year with the staff and food, that we decided to celebrate another anniversary there. We were treated again with a card and free dessert or glass of champagne for our anniversary! Tonight we had the chef’s prix fixe meal. Their prices are very reasonable. My wife had a wedge salad, (loaded with lots of goodies) a filet, (cooked to perfection), asparagus spears, and poblano scalloped potatoes, YUM! I had the Maryland crab bisque, a rich and delicious soup, a 14 oz Duroc pork chop with mashed potatoes and green beans. I ate it all. We finished the night with the apple croustade, recommended by our server Silvia, she was great, and so was the croustade! We took home our free carrot cake to have tomorrow. It’s large enough to feed 4 people. Thank you, J Gilbert for another wonderful evening!

   It was a busy Saturday night, but we had excellent service and our food came out hot and in a timely manner. We were a table of 5 with a 9, 6, and 4 year old. Our waitress was so good, but I didn’t get her name. Too busy with the kiddos. She kept our drinks full and didn’t rush us. We strted with the cheese board and onion rings. Both were delicious. We ordered filets and sirloin for main dish. Filets were amazing, the sirloin was just ok. Our sides were all delicious, and my only complaint would be that we only got 4 stalks of asparagus. We definitely wanted more. We ended with the chocolate red velvet cake for our granddaughter’s birthday, and she licked the plate. J. Gilbert’s did not disappoint. We will definitely be back!

   Very nice dining experience, our waiter Lance was super polite and always checking on us, helping our dining experience! The meal was amazing! We did a three course meal, and it was outstanding! Will definitely be returning!

   Timing of meal was very off. My husband first course salad arrived right away. My salad 10 minutes later. 2nd course meals within minutes of my salad so food had to sit on edge of our table and was cold by the time we finished our salads.

   We had three steaks and the ribs. The ribs were great, two fillets were good but nothing special. The dry aged strip was unflavorful and full of grizzle. Service was Ok but she had way too many tables and not the level of service you expect for a $450 tab. Overall a B experience so just depends on what you’re looking for.

   The whole meal was a amazing from the oysters Rockefeller to our entree of seafood mixed grill. Wonderful server.

   Our waitress Silvia G was fantastic. She was pleasant and attentive but gave us time to eat and didn’t overly ask us if we needed stuff too frequently. Prime Rib was good. For me the Asparagus was little too smoky and my baked potato was a little hard in the middle. Just my personal opinion. Carrot Cake awesome.
