   We came for our anniversary and had an amazing time. The food, service, atmosphere were all fantastic. Our service Chris was kind and personable and made us feel so special!

   Beautiful restaurant and very delicious food. The hostess and server were extremely friendly. Only complaint was that we were seated inside and there was an extremely noisy group that disturbed the otherwise pleasant atmosphere. Overall it was a great experience.

   Wonderful food and atmosphere, but our server was very bad. He was slow in every step of the dining process, it took us telling him something 4-5 times to get him to bring us things, he spilled a large portion of the bottle of our wine on the table (and didn’t apologize), and took around 25 mins to bring us our wine (which was disappointing having it arrive almost halfway through our meal). We asked to speak to a sommelier when ordering, but our server said he could handle answering questions. Unfortunately, he couldn’t answer anything we asked. Each time we needed more water, silverware, additional drinks, we had to ask other servers or food runners. He was never available or around. He ruined our otherwise special experience.

   Amazing experience. Great customer service - our flight was delayed and they responded almost immediately to our message asking for a later reservation.

   Was excited to visit - had a single reservation as I was traveling alone. Very quick service - too quick! My dish arrived within ten minutes of sitting down, before I finished the chef’s hummus. Within 20 minutes my check arrived for $75. I joked to the waitress and she said the kitchen did not have a lot to do so they made my dish quickly. Oh well.

    We have eaten at the Iron Gate Inn on and off for decades. The primary attraction has always been the ambience; the food has been acceptable. Last night, not so much on both scores. The night was quite cold and there was a cold draft at floor level. The food really didn't measure up...and oyster first course with a foam that was less than a simple vinegarette would have been, and two pasta dishes that were not very appealing. The staff was courteous and helpful and the site remains attractive.
