Il Gabbiano is an Italian Steakhouse brought to the historical waterfront district and neighborhood of the city of New Haven, Connecticut by Chef Valentino Stakaj owner of the city's iconic Adriana's on Grand Avenue and La Lupa in North Haven, Valentino has rebuilt the famous restaurant location at 501 Long Wharf Drive which overlooks the Long Island Sound. Monday to Sunday happy hour from 2-6pm drink and appetizer specials every day.

    Dinner was wonderful. Excellent service, delicious food, and amazing ambience. Our waiter was nice enough to split the appetizers into four full plates and was very attentive even on a busy night. It’s decorated perfectly for Christmas and they had a great band as well.

    I just love this restaurant. The only disappointment was it wasn't the Ladys Night Menu. The menu was limited but not my favorites...Portions are great. My party was disappointed with mashed potatoes with her chicken parm...just didnt fit...I would definitely go back after the holidays and of course in the spring/summer
