Executive Chef Justin Baade took his love of 'live-fire' cooking by building a custom hearth offering seafood, steak and vegetables either smoked, grilled or cooked in the embers.
Housing the largest, privately owned jellyfish tank, it's a memorizing experience to see the baby jellyfish upclose and personal.

Sent a private note to the operator since I want them to make it right before I post publicly.

It was raining. A manager meet us with umbrellas outside One friend was ushered in as she was using a walker and I used the other brought out to me to help the other 88 year old friend. We were ushered to the table chairs were pulled out for us to be seated!! Never have I felt so cared about. The hospitality was amazing! There is a tranquility and peace in the eloquent but casual environment overlooking the harbor and water On one wall separating the bar from the dining area is a huge aquarium where jellyfish float aimlessly The food served for lunch was excellent ! Thank you for a wonderful time We will be back!!!! Jan P

Flawlessly executed dinner experience. Food quality and service were exceptional. Raw oysters with house yuzu mignonette, broiled scallop with finger lime, milk bread with whipped ube and coconut butter on the side, duck breast and escarole salad with persimmons, black cod entree with wild mushroom crepe, whipped cauliflower, and chanterelles on top. Coconut panna cotta to finish! Everything was delicious. Awesome open kitchen and a huge wall of moon jellyfish, which was mesmerizing to watch while eating. I will return. Beautiful location on the harbor.

I've been to Hurrica twice now. It really has a unique atmosphere for the peninsula. Most of the entrees we enjoyed were definitely a big hit. It is one of the best restaurants on the peninsula for a fun, relaxing atmosphere with plenty of water views day or night.

Fine Dining that is approachable and a great value. I’d like to highlight the Pastry Chef who does a great job with the desserts. Also to note this is the Team that made SF’s Farallon a great Seafood Destination. This is now our go to restaurant on the Peninsula.

Nestled near the coast, Hurricane Restaurant and Bar is a gem that radiates both vibrant energy and relaxed charm. With its coastal-inspired decor and lively atmosphere, it's a must-visit for anyone craving good food with a side of fun. **Ambiance:** The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm and inviting setting. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with nautical elements that transport you to a seaside retreat. The lighting is just right, dim enough for intimacy but bright enough to keep the energy lively. The bar area stands out with its stylish counter and an impressive array of spirits that promise exciting concoctions. **Food:** Hurricane's menu is a delightful mix of classic and inventive dishes. From fresh seafood delights like crab cakes and lobster rolls to hearty options such as gourmet burgers and juicy steaks, there’s something for every palate. The flavors are bold and satisfying, clearly prepared with attention to detail. Make sure to try their signature hurricane cocktail, a refreshing drink that perfectly complements the meal. **Service:** The staff at Hurricane are both friendly and efficient, maintaining the right balance between attentiveness and allowing you your space. They seem genuinely enthusiastic about their offerings, ready to give recommendations, which enhances the dining experience.

A Gem on the Peninsula. Finally a restaurant on the Peninsula on par with John Bentley's. The Chefs are from SF Famed Farallon, Water Bar and Epic Steakhouse.
