Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House opened its doors in February 1997 in the heart of Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood, next to sister restaurant Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse. Over Enjoy the city's finest seafood restaurant, Hugo's continues to be the destination for premier east and west coast oysters, crudos, frog legs, lobster and seasonal fish and shellfish, in addition to Gibsons Prime Angus and Gibsons Grassfed Australian steaks. An extensive wine list, classic cocktail list and selection of impressive signature desserts accompany the menu of fresh seafood, steaks and chops. Beautiful private dining and events spaces available. Gluten-free and vegan options available. Happy Hour Sun-Thurs, 3-6pm.

    When my dinner date received her steak it was burnt top and bottom. The waiter appeared to look right at it without acknowledging the mishap. We were not asked once about our meal. The waiter quickly ran off in hope of avoiding us. My date said she will never accompany me to another dinner at Hugo's Frog Bar..

    Great overall experience, my girlfriend and I went for an anniversary and the attention to detail in the fact that we were celebrating an occasion was noted by not only our server, but the hostess, and other staff members too. The server was very personable, friendly, and was knowledgeable about the menu. Great ambiance, great time, would go again for another special occasion.

    First time there. Cool place. Great service. Bill was 325. Had fillet, seas bass, lobster tail, a claw , 4 glasses of wine and creme brûlée. You can eat much cheaper than that but it’s out yearly xmas dinner. Food was great. Highly recommend.

    First time at Hugo’s and one of the best. Dining experiences I’ve had in a while. Excellent service and tasty food. Stone crab, frog legs and the seabass were the highlights. Chefs kiss.

    We arrived early for our reservation, and were promptly seated. Our server was fantastic, he gave a good explanation of the fresh fish available. I had frog legs and the Friday night only, Lake Perch. The food was out quickly, was hot and well presented. Fantastic service and food was perfect
