The original HopCat location is located in a historical building downtown Grand Rapids. Steps from Van Andel Arena, GLC Live at 20 Monroe, and the Grand Rapids Art Museum, our restaurant features a dog-friendly outdoor patio, oversized wooden bar, and comfortable seating.

HopCat was founded on the principles of bringing local craft beer a bit closer to the communities we love. We’re known for our award-wining Cosmik fries, which are beer battered, sprinkled with our signature cracked black pepper seasoning, and served with a side of warm cheese sauce. From burgers to tacos, our menu offers a range of delicious options.

    Waitress forgot our sharable, Took 20 minutes to get it ( chips and queso) Burger had no flavor or seasoning at all, Bland but was hot, It wasn't that busy and that took an additional 15 min. We were there for almost 70 minutes. 35 minutes was waiting for food.

    Our waitress was great, fun atmosphere and our appetizer was tasty. Unfortunately they had to close due to flooding.

    We’ve had good HopCat experiences in the past but tonight was nothing special. Food was fair, atmosphere was noisy, service was fine but nothing great. A bit disappointed compared to past experiences.

    It was decent bar food and good beer selection. They could not get our food out together and brought a side dish after the appetizer. Nice people, decent food but a little disorganized and definitely more casual than the reviews led me to believe.
