Hoja Santa is a favorite for my family. We have become veggie lovers and so our go to is the Hoja Santa salad, the Calabaza and now the Mexican Street Corn. (We also recommend the fish tacos) Our little one enjoys the pizza each time. For dessert the Nieve Frito is a must. Each time we've enjoyed the background music, service and the scent of wooden-fire food.

I thought the food and service was very good, but a bit pricey. I would definitely visit again.

This is my second time here. The food is good and tasty. The drinks are good. They operate with very limited staff on Sundays (the only day I've been there), but the service is decent. We had 3 appetizers (the Calabaza, the Molcajete, and the Guacamole), the Grilled Caesar, a side of truffle mashed potatoes and 2 cocktails. This dinner cost $125 before gratuity. Fair, but leaning toward pricey. Overall, I would recommend to friends.

We loved the food. The servings were very large. The cocktails were very good. I rated the service as "fair" not because of the waiter (his attention was sufficient), but because of the bartender. The restaurant is supposed to stay open until 10 PM. The kitchen wanted the final order at 9:45 PM, which I understand and that is very reasonable because they have to cook it. But the bar also gave the last call at 9:45, and then immediately closed. At that time we weren't sure if we wanted anything, but we did not get our food until 10:15 and then we wished we could get something else. I asked the waiter if he could even pour a glass of wine and he said he could not. The kitchen was, IMO rather slow and one of the reasons we were even ordering our main entree that late is that we decided to order a second appetizer (a burrata) and that took 20 minutes to come to our table. I can't think of another restaurant where the bar closes before all the food is delivered to the table and it knows that its patrons have what they want. I understand that staff wants to go home, but I think that the restaurant's clientele should come first. I forgot that the last time we were in this restaurant, around last Dec., we had the same issue with the bar closing at the same time as the last call for the kitchen. We also had a problem at that time with the restaurant being freezing cold and when asked if the heat could be turned up we were told they could not. This was the first time we returned as the weather is warmer. We probably will return at some time because the food is so good, but we will have to plan our time accordingly. Too bad.

Despite having a reservation we were given a very small two table even though couples were seated at four setters both before and after we were seated. Very cramped for multiple plates. Assessed the liquor tax rate on an entree. The food was good to very good (octopus was flavorful but tough). Interesting wine list of Baja wines, but overpriced (cheapest glass of red was $16).
