   all very good. We are definitely going back. Service was perfect…time to look at the menu and speak with our server. Courses were well spaced and the food was good.

   We were a party of six and sat comfortably at a round table. Food orders which included pork chops, huge chicken parmigiana, and a chicken piccata were all delicious according to each diner. I thought the cost of the appetizers were a bit pricey which would be my only negative. Service was fine. Our young waiter aimed to please. Low noise level which made it easy to hold a conversation. There is a lovely outdoor dining area which we will request on the next visit.

   Food was disappointingly bland. The duck confit had what was supposed to be an orange sauce that tasted like an orange may have swam through it at one point but while the duck itself was fine, it definitely needed an accompanying flavor. Tried a small piece of trout and it was OK. The ratatouille was almost sugary……unexpected and it really didn’t mesh well with any ratatouille I’ve had in the past nor care to eat again. The server was apologetic and tried to get a different sauce (he brought two others out, and one was exactly the same bland concoction along with what seemed to be the sauce before cooking as it was cold but did actually have a little orange flavor in it). Really wanted to like the place as it’s nearby to me and reasonably priced (or what passes for reasonable these days), but the two dishes we had really had no decent flavor in the main or side. If the food was closer to the nice decor it would have been forgivable but you can’t eat atmosphere.
