   I am a Vero local and have dined here many times. We always have a wonderful experience at Heaton’s. Tonight did not disappoint! Beautiful ocean views- and breeze! A festive and lively atmosphere. Dinner was delicious and service was on point - our server was Francis. We had a fantastic night. Thank you!

   Love the location. The Smash burger and chicken club were good. The Ceasar salad was disappointing. Needs a better dressing and eliminate the large pieces of toast thrown in.

   Have been here twice because we found it on “Bring Fido” app (not dog friendly at all). Didn’t offer water for my Golden doodle. We had a reservation at 6 for 3 and waited an hour for our entree. Topper of the evening was the $40.00 corkage fee each for 2 bottles of wine 😆,,, enough said,,,,NOT GOING BACK!!!

   Service very nice, prompt and good good, staff attentive. The maître d (gentleman who was at the front desk and seated us) was amazing. We had a gentleman with us who was disabled. The maître d walked slow not to rush him, and even brought us blankets b cause we were cold. We were so grateful, he really made our day.

   Dining “on the water” is a lovely experience and Heaton’s offers it. Dinner was good, moderately priced and casual. When next in Vero Beach, we will dine there again.

   Not happy with the fine print at the bottom of the menu that states there will be a 2% "Culinary Fee" added to your bill. The food is already over the top expensive which I understand due to the location on the ocean.... But why pull this two bit sleaze to sneak another 2%? Not going back.

   Thanks for dining! The 2% is an optional service charge that goes directly to the kitchen staff and can easily be removed by any team member. It is listed so it is very up front. We have been doing this for about 4 years and most guests appreciate that we offer a program that they can contribute to not only their server, but their back of house team members.     I wrote a review 2 weeks ago and we had a wonderful experience, promting us to make 2 more reservations, the first of which was last night. The view was great, and the service was good. However, food was not. We canceled our second reservation for next weekend. As we live here year round we have periodically eaten at Heaton’s. Unfortunately, I have to concur with other reviewers who say that Heaton’s is just too inconsistent to count on.
