   I've been to Haywire quite a few times, and every time it has been great. I think we just popped in on a bad day. Food was fine, service was not. We had to request for refills, we had to request for the dessert menu at least 3 times. Our guy looked a little irritated when we met his memory max and had to start writing things down (table of 7). I wouldn't say no to Haywire in the future, but I would ask for a different Server if we had a repeat.

   The food was wonderful! We had a reservation inside and upon arrival asked if there was I asked if there was a table outside at which we were seated. It was located at the very end of the outdoor patio and my chair was partially seated in front of an exit door - I asked if we could have one of the several outdoor tables that were open and I was told they were reserved, however, at least one sat empty while we were there. The seating and view (with a table in front of a door and a dirty wall a wall) was less than desirable. The rest of the tables were either next to a balcony where you could view the courtyard or a glass wall to the inside of the restaurant. I would recommend not using that table for service. We waited for dishes to be cleared and our fourth party had to ask for a napkin and silverware after being seated for a while. The food was excellent!

   Excellent food! Texas - Southwest accents and delicious. Steaks are outstanding. But also many other entrees. Our server Roberto was great. Attentive. Knew the food and the spirits. It’s nice to be in the presence of someone who seems to really enjoy what they do. Haywire is now my favorite restaurant in Dallas area.

   Had the cowboy bone in ribeye and the wife had a filet. The ribeye was ok, nothing that you would say “WOW” over. The filet was extremely good. The onion rings are great. The noise level is extremely high making table conversations difficult. Service was on par with what you would expect for a $200 dinner. I have eaten at better but probably will visit and try it again.

   Food was fine. Expected more beings this was advertised as a Mother’s Day celebration Buffett and per person cost was high. Although when they called to confirm the reservation, they did advise of the cost & the celebration buffett. Decided to keep the reservation since my wife had been wanting to go there. There was nothing to celebrate Mother’s Day or celebrate the Mom’s there. Nothing for them and no decoration of the celebration. Luckily we were seated in the first room from check-in, so out of the way of traffic and the high noise level. This was not our first time to visit Haywire and our previous experience was great. But this visit was underwhelming especially with the Mother’s Day event. Servers were fine but again nothing like the expected experience we had hoped for. The experience did not live up to the hype and cost of this visit.

   We were there for the Mother's Day buffet. The shrimp and smoked salmon were excellent. The salmon was deliciouly ssomewhere between cold-smoked and hot-smoked. The Brussel sprouts had a fun balsamic accent The bacon was far beyond ordinary, closer to a jerky. Even the smoked turkey was brilliant. Loved the goat-cheese grits. Far beyond my expectations: like a Vegas buffet but much higher-quality.
