   Overall experience was poor. Unfortunately we arrived 15 minutes late due to a train delay; I tried to call six times to inform the restaurant but got no answer. Despite booking weeks in advance and requesting a window table, I was extremely disappointed as when we arrived the last window table was given to a lady in front of us. Very limited gluten free (GF) options! Even though I was assured that there would be plenty of GF options to choose from when I phoned before booking - there was only a handful. We waited an hour for food, while three tables that arrived after us were served and finished before us.

   We went there with our 2 year old and had a wonderful breakfast. There was a lot of space and the staff was friendly and professional. Highly recommend this place

   Have been there few times. Decided to book for a first date. An amazing luxurious place with a very cosy atmosphere. Service is excellent, as well as drinks and food. Everyone is very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this hidden gem 💎.

   Lovely decor and delicious sandwiches and fresh waffles made and maple syrup. Enough time in between courses. Reasonable prices for centre of Edinburgh.

   Having read the reviews which stated this restaurant was “ gluten free heaven” we were really looking forward to our brunch only to be presented with a vegan menu and when queried were advise they were operating on a temporary menu and the only thing they could offer was avocado and poached egg so we sadly left - very disappointed as have wanted to visit here for ages

   We arrived nearly 10 mins early, we had a booking so we got seated quickly. It was too busy, this surprised me as it was a public holiday. We waited for 30 mins to place an order, I tried to get the waiter twice in this waiting time but he walked by. People came and went, I noticed folk receiving food before their drinks - noted time delay of 5/10 mins. Once our order was placed, services was smooth and the food was wonderful and possibly the best we’ve had to date. The last time I visited in July my French toast was burn. I do enjoy visiting but it’s always mixed - good service, not so good food or slow service excellent food. Would I go back, very likely but not for another 6 months.

   Perfection as always! Food was delicious, staff were so friendly! The newer waiter got my drink wrong but they were so nice I didn’t say anything! He was so so lovely and it was a lovely experience!

    Disappointed! Was unable to have onion removed from toastie as they didn’t have enough bread left to make another one. Service was appalling. Was seated and then had to wait almost 10mins before server appeared. Small tables stuck really closely together and again service was non existent- this will definitely be my first and last time at this venue - would NOT recommend.
