Hartley Kitchen & Cocktails is an American restaurant and gathering place with a warm spirit and deep-rooted soul. Here, simplicity meets handsome design, thoughtful service, and great taste. With an open floor plan between the bar, lounge, and dining room, the restaurant is buzzing and bustling with energy from morning coffee to the final nightcap. Our menu from Chef Mark Alba celebrates our heritage, combining American cooking with a touch of regional southern influence. The cocktail program from Parks Pope is balanced, versatile, and embraces all things American: a robust spirits collection, a cocktail list rooted in the classics, and a curated selection of wines and craft beers.

Had no idea they were part of an IHG hotel. I make it a practice to not eat in hotel restaurants so once I arrived I knew we were in for a lackluster dinner. Service was very slow and we had to ask for water twice. Wine List was very weak - the Tuscan red was bitter - stick with the Cab. I had the Butternut squash Bolognese and added a chicken breast for protein. The Pasta was overcooked, the chicken was way over cooked and tough and the butternut squash was undercooked. Don't waste your time on this place. If you do go, stick to a burger or something simple enough that they possibly can't destroy the dish. Very disappointed.

I really like dining here but something has change with the service. We waited for a very long time to get drinks for the table from the bar, the first and second round. The kitchen was running behind even though there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. I really used to love this place, so I am hopeful that it was just an off night for them.

Waited an hour for food 35 mins for drinks to receive cold chewy steak with no flavor and hard shrimp with stale bread the only thing that was palatable was the fries luckily we found somewhere near by to go eat after we left here we already paid for the breakfast so we tried that in the morning and wait times and flavor of food weren’t any better if you stay at the kimpton shane please save your time and money and eat somewhere else

Decent (but not outstanding) meal. My duck was delicious, albeit a bit fatty, but my wife's swordfish was dry and too salty. We had wanted to order fried green tomatoes for an app but we were told they were sold out. However, they were gracious and were able to make us a partial order and they comped it (and they were delicious!). We couldn't understand how they could have been sold out of anything. We were there at 8 pm and there were only 3 other tables occupied. Very acceptable hotel dining but not exactly mind blowing food.

My friends and I enjoyed the lounge for cocktails and small plates and then enjoyed dinner at the Hartley. We ordered steak and fries(very good) pork chop(absolutely delicious) and braised ribs(excellent). The service was slow, I think there were 2 servers taking care of entire restaurant and we waited for our meal for almost an hour. We plan to return in March to try the fried chicken.

This place has really good reviews but there's a serious problem with the service. We showed up on time with our reservation. Waited to get seated. Waited to hear from waiter. Waited to get drinks ordered, waited for drinks so long that the food started showing up before the drinks even got there. I don't blame the waitress, she was obviously overworked but it shouldn't take TWO HOURS for two people to get a simple dinner order and drinks. Literally the only thing that they did fast was run my credit card. It took ten minutes just to get the check. We were there so long that we wound up missing the engagement we had afterward. It really seems like the staff there are are indifferent towards people there. I had to flag down the host to get our check. Not the waitress, not the server, not the guy bringing drinks. The host. Also, using the excuse "the bar is backed up" in a place this size is just ridiculous. There just aren't that many tables, and we didn't even order anything complex. No mixers or anything like that. Food is ok, but the ambience with the wait really killed it for us. They had a live guitarist there that was so loud that people were practically shouting to hear each other. The waitress had to even raise her voice so we could hear her.

I went for the Valentine’s Day Special. The ambiance was lovely, the servers were great, the manager was very helpful, and I loved the flowers cart we made our own bouquet for free. However the food could of been better, not much of taste or seasoning it seemed like for the strip steak or the chicken. Not to mention they was out of the lamb although I kept seeing tables being served with it. Apart from that I enjoyed the time and the drink was worth the pay, would I do it again? Probably not

The food was very good. They had an outstanding Valentines Day dinner experience. It was very busy so some drink follow up was slow.

If you are expecting a fine dining experience, this is NOT the place to go! The whole experience was a sh*t show! They rushed us through their pre fix dinner . The server was inattentive. The 3rd course came before the second course (this was after we had only been there 40 minutes). I had to ask for my cocktail more than once. The manager showed up apologetic in his wrinkled shirt and kakis… there were servers running all over the place and nothing seemed to be getting done. The noise level was so bad that it was impossible to hold conversation. The pre fix dinner including tip, tax, and 2 drinks was $240 plus $20 for parking! We could have had a MUCH better meal at a steakhouse. I will never go back and anyone that says the Valentine’s Dinner was good has no palate!

We were in Atlanta for Valentines Day (my spouse birthday) so I definitely needed to find a good dinner. Hartley's seemed to have a great menu for their regular dinner menu but I could not find what they were serving for Valentine's Day. But we took a chance. The menu was creative with several good options for each course. The Amuse bouche was an oyster shooter. Lots of flavor! We skipped the soup options and had 2 of the salad options. They were small but full of flavor and presentented nicely. My spouse had the pastaccio crusted lamb. It was a little rare for her (but perfect for me). Both of us enjoyed it. I had the NY strip with their take on sauce bernaise. Steck was a perfect meduim rare and all of the accompniments were great. The deserts we only OK. One, a chocolate mouse creation was delicious but sooo rich I coul donly eat about half of it. The pound cake creation was good but below what the rest of the meal acheived. Given the food, one has to also mention the service. There were always servers in sight and they were as delightful as efficient. The somilier was also very knowledgable and helped us find a great wine. Next time we are in Atlanta, I would definitely go back!
