HANDSHAKE BAR spans two levels, each offering a selection of our most iconic cocktails. Both spaces provide a warm, intimate atmosphere. One level is slightly larger to better accommodate guests.

Reservation Duration:
Reservations last 1 hour and 30 minutes, allowing time to enjoy our cocktails and unique ambiance.

RESERVATION POLICIES:
The maximum number of guests per reservation is six. For groups of five or more, a deposit of $250.00 MXN per additional guest is required, processed via credit card through Open Table.

Multiple reservations and combining tables from different bookings are not allowed. There is a 15-minute grace period; after this time, the reservation will be marked as a no-show.

Deposits are non-refundable if you do not arrive within the grace period.

We had an awesome experience. Cocktails are really unique and delicious. We only had 30 mins but managed to try a few all of the were well balanced delicious and delicate and presentation was great. It’s an awesome fun experience. I am not a cocktail person but was wowed by the taste.

For a bar that holds the title of “best in the world,” Handshake falls disappointingly short in terms of ambiance, experience, and service. When we arrived, the staff was attentive at first, but after that initial greeting, it took over 20 minutes for someone to return and take our order—only after we flagged them down. To make matters worse, guests who arrived 10 minutes after us received their drinks before we did. Unbelievable! I hesitate to say this, but it was hard not to notice: guests who were foreigners, spoke only English, and didn’t have reservations were attended to more promptly than we were. As the only local, Spanish-speaking customers, we couldn’t shake the feeling that we were being singled out. Yes, the bar was packed with international visitors, and I understand that serving everyone efficiently can be a challenge. But if you’re going to claim the title of “best bar in the world,” you need to live up to it. Do better! Ironically, the only time we received excellent service was when they reminded us that we had 20 minutes left in our reservation—despite the fact that it had taken them 30 minutes to serve our first drinks. If you don’t make it to Handshake, you’re not missing much. CDMX has plenty of incredible bars, and this won’t be on my list again.

This place delivered everything and more. Truly innovative cocktails with unique tastes and a vibe that could not be matched. The subterranean level felt like the ultimate speakeasy experience. Handshake gets my highest recommendation.
