   Service was very good. We both enjoyed our entrees of spicy scallops edemame and the black pepper filet mignon. Had side dish of Ginger pak choi and duck roll appetizer also very good. Selections of wines and liquors is outstanding. I definitely would recommend the restaurant and would like to dine here again with a larger group than 2 persons to try the prix fare menu selections for larger group dining of 4 people.

   We had a great meal. My husband is coeliac and has to eat Gluten free food. They had a separate GF menu which was brilliant. I would go back.

   The food and our server Claire were amazing. The club level music was so loud that we could barely talk to each other and the tables around us were also loud just to be heard over the music. Maybe a room or two should be lower in volume for those that actually want to talk over dinner. Or at least make it known up front that the music will be loud.

   My husband and I were extremely disappointed in our meal — one we’d been looking forward to during our stay at Fontainebleau Miami. The hot and sour soup was literally inedible — it had a strong, off-putting smell, was thick and glutinous, and strangely had very little flavour. I don’t remember another time when I actually couldn’t eat a dish served to me in a restaurant. Other dishes we ordered were just “ok” — certainly nothing inspired or memorable. The Szechuan chicken was served with at least 20 whole chiles, but seemingly as filler added after cooking, as the dish itself offered little spice. The chicken was tough, as was the beef in the clay pot. We’d have been shocked at the mediocre quality of the food at Hakkasan even for a quarter the price we paid. By comparison, we ate at nearby Nobu twice during our stay and can’t say enough great things about it.

   There is no doubt that the ambiance and service at Hakkasan are first rate. I was expecting to be blown away by the food. While very good, it did not wow me. Very good Hot & Sour soup, but at $15.... The chicken dish was excellent. The beef and shishito peppers was disappointing, it's as if they tossed the raw peppers in at the last minute. They were hard and not even warm. The scallion and egg friend rice was basically mediocre with hardly a scallion to be seen.

   If you want to know what it’s like to dine in a very very loud nightclub, eat here. If you want to relax over your meal and converse with your dinner guests, don’t eat here. Music was so loud we literally were getting headaches by the end of our meal. Skipped desert just to get out of there with some sanity left. Food was awesome however. Service was personable but we were ignored after ordering.
