As before, the food is very good as well as the service and that is why we keep coming back. It would be nice if some of the other patrons would consider keeping their kids from yelling to the top of their lungs, but all in all, good experience as always.

Nice restaurant with tasty food. Great bar and cocktails that were reasonably priced. Service was outstanding. The blueberry cobbler was to die for. Only negative was how loud it was, very hard to have conversation, but will still would definitely go back.

My colleague and I dine out at Gus's for lunch somewhat regularly for business discussions because it offers a reasonable, elevated lunch experience. That day, I tried the often-recommended Brick Chicken with sauteed green beans and creamed corn, while my colleague enjoyed a chicken sandwich. I truly enjoyed the brick chicken. It tasted quite moist and, thankfully, not sweet ... more on the tangy side and definitely flavorful. The green beans had a good touch of butter and also hit the right note. The creamed corn truly wowed me. It had an almost souffle-like texture and the most amazing flavor. I have never had such an exultant experience with a simple vegetable side dish before. Normally, restaurants treat them a bit like an afterthought. Gus's, however, elevates this most basic dish to new heights. A few days before, I had dined near the Music Center at a renowned restaurant and found this creamed corn far more satisfying to the highly-touted "for the table" shared dishes from this tony dining establishment. Honest to goodness gracious - I considered this very straightforward meal of Southern cooking a much more enjoyable meal than the Music Center dinner. And yes, I have dined at 3-Star Michelin restaurants and know fine cuisine. My colleague also enjoyed their sandwich and especially appreciated the brioche bun, which they found one of the best they've had.

What’s not to like about Gus? Great local bbq only to be complimented by the exceptional hospitality of Reina. She’s an absolute pleasure. Someone that’s so meticulous about their work and genuinely remembers you. We’d come back just to hang out with her.
