Grow is hidden haven in Hackney Wick with a heated and covered terrace next to the River Lea. The menu is inspired by Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine with an emphasis on sustainability. Our menu is primarily plant-led but we also offer ethically sourced meat options.

As well as being a cosy spot for brunch, lunch, coffee and chat, you can expect a broad range of live music & performances on weekday evenings and DJ led events on the weekends. Whatever you’re after, Grow provides an escape from the hustle and bustle of busy city life.

My experience at your Hidden Literature night was great, however, I did get the feeling that you weren't used to people in wheelchairs wanting to perform. There was quite a hassle setting the mic up for me off stage and I felt a little embarrassed sitting in front of everyone waiting for them to figure it out. This happened even after I called ahead and was reassured of the accessibility of the venue. But accessibility isn't just a space where wheelchair-users can enter the building and only watch everyone else perform - accessibility is a place where they can perform and participate too. And I feel as if Grow, Hackney wasn't prepared for that part of accessibility. It was still a great night which I highly enjoyed though.
