Located at 9 Kensington Square, London, a short stroll from Hyde Park, Grato is a chic Italian restaurant. With a focus on regional cuisine and the freshest ingredients, every dish is imbued with culture. Our handmade pasta is crafted with love in our very own kitchen; our wines are sourced from artisan vineyards. Our evolving menus reflect the seasons and celebrate Italy’s culinary wonders.
Dine on the ground floor overlooking one of London's oldest garden squares or you can dine alfresco facing the lush square. At the lower level is another dining room reminiscent of an Italian wine grotto - the perfect space for a celebration.

We accept all credit cards (no AMEX) & cash.Our outdoor tables are timed for 1.5hr to allow other guests to enjoy al fresco. We cannot always guarantee a seat of your choice. Thank you

    I love this little neighbourhood restaurant. The owner Pietrro and his team are so welcoming, the food is honest. Come for the service and stay for the tiramisu which is made in-house and is delicious. A great wine selection and a wonderful neighbourhood vibe.

    Lovely small neighborhood Italian restaurant. Warm service, fresh food, daily specials. It’s a small place but they have a downstairs and a few tables outside. Lovely people and food.

    An absolutely phenomenal Restaurant with wonderful service and delicious food ! Everything is very elegant and simple therefore very warm and comfortable. The food is in the perfect Italian with excellent products prepared with precision and love. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have a good time and a delicious meal. I especially recommend the tiramisu coming from the owner‘s mother‘s recipe and their truffle pasta that is to die for.

    A beautiful set restaurant off the main road of Kensington High Street. All the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The ambience was sophisticated with a touch of cosiness and warmth. But the main and most important factor of eating out is the food, and with no exception it was exquisite. A definite must try, for a treat out or just a fabulous meal with family and friends.

    Excellent food and service in a wonderful, quaint family owned restaurant. The pasta is homemade and the cod is tender. The prawns with zucchini & avocado is also excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant.
