We had a wonderful evening at Grappa. The ambience is outstanding. The view from the second floor was so pretty and peaceful. Michael our server was very attentive and suggested an excellent bottle of wine. My husband ordered the Caesar salad and eggplant parmigiana with a side of pasta which was delicious. I had the mista salad and the scallops which were very good. The only issue we had was that the scallops serving only had 3 scallops. I wish we had known. After a full day of skiing, the serving seemed minimal, especially with a price tag of $64. Otherwise we had an amazing night and would highly recommend Grappa.

For our first night in PC, we chose Grappa. We got there about 20 minutes early in case they already had a table available. Unfortunately, no tables were available yet so we had to wait, which wouldn’t have been an issue had there been a bar to order drinks from or even a bar close by, but they said their bar was seated service only and with very little room in the waiting area, we were forced to wait outside. Fortunately, it was an unusually warm evening for early March, but had it been cold we would have been standing there freezing. Once we were seated at our reservation time, they gave us bread, which quite frankly was the best part of our meal. My husband ordered a beer, which he received the wrong one, and I ordered a glass of wine. The waitress returned to take our order and while I had talked about ordering the eggplant earlier, when we ordered we just told her the Caesar salad, steak, and a calzone which we would all share. When our order came out, there was the eggplant. I figured there must have been some miscommunication on my part, fine, I’ll eat it, but it was literally like a block of crust with hard cheese on top. I couldn’t even taste the eggplant. The best part about that dish was the arugula on top and the sauce surrounding the eggplant. Save yourself $42 and try something else. My husband got the steak which he said was decent, but his side of au gratin potatoes were super rich and were overwhelmed by onions. My son got the calzone which he said was ok, but for $24 it was literally the size of a small piece of pizza. The Caesar salad was the best part of the meal next to the complimentary bread. Lastly, I finished the night with an old fashioned, which arrived in the lowest low ball glass I’ve ever seen, full of ice and all the syrup was on the bottom so it hadn’t been mixed. I had hoped to dispel the rumors I had heard about the food in town being overpriced and not great quality, but sadly I would have to agree. Service was good however.
