   Had an "early bird" Valentine's dinner. Crab cake and Blue Point oysters were tasty apps. Gem salad was generous enough to share. Short rib with mashed potatoes & crispy brussel sprouts was so delicious. Hubby had filet mignon which he said was just okay, would not order again. Key lime pie was delicious. Service was excellent. The decor is updated and inviting, including the comfy cushioned chairs we sat in.

   First time here…..all was well with the exception of first round of drinks. We ordered one cosmo and two espresso martinis with baileys and the cosmo was quite terrible (as this is our normal go to) and our server misunderstood the espresso request and brought us out coffee. They fixed all three drinks and the expresso martinis were very good but the attempt to fix the cosmo was unsuccessful. We didn’t dwell on it however. We simply changed the cosmo on the next round. Appetizers were excellent, enjoyed the roasted Brussels sprouts and lobster bisque soup. Entrees were filet mignon and skirt steak and perfectly prepared. Very enjoyable. We finished with cheesecake that was delicious. Overall, it was a very good meal and would recommend.

   Production staff (kitchen and bar) did a very good job. Service staff was curt and impersonal.

   Absolutely amazing experience drinks are phenomenal and the food was outstanding. Got there at 6:30 and left at 9:30 did not feel rushed or anything will definitely be going back.

   That is my 3rd time eating at Good News Cafe since they reopened. The food has been consistently good, the nemu an exciting blend with many choices. Service was friendly but professional, I would recommend it to anyone and I'm looking forward to returning for lunch or donner.

   I had the Shrimp Quesadilla special. Delicious. The shrimp goat cheese, avocado, and cilantro made a perfect blend. It was topped with an arugula salad with raspberry vinaigrette. As one who does not normally like a sweet sauce with anything, I have to say, the greens with the dressing were a brilliant complement to the quesadilla. Hope they put this on the regular menu.

   Superb seared Scallops over mushroom risotto. Perfectly cooked burger with fries Very good short rib marred by salty gravy, came with perfect mashed potatoes and crispy brussel sprouts. Excellent service.

    Food was excellent and on point. Not much of a crowd this evening so was shocked at slow service. Our waitperson could only seem to do one thing at a time and not very attentive. Long wait for drink refills and even check. Again not a busy night. It’d be nice if it was a little dimmer in there but again food excellent!
