Approachable sophisticated Pacific Northwest cuisine, simply prepared using the finest regional ingredients and served in a dining room with maritime-inspired design and sweeping views of Elliott Bay.

Goldfinch Tavern is a collaboration between Ethan Stowell and Four Seasons Hotel Seattle. Named for the state bird of Washington, the American Goldfinch.

The upscale tavern pays homage to the city’s pioneer days, when taverns catered to lumberjacks and sailors alike, providing a place for travelers and locals to both socialize and conduct business, all while enjoying drinks and food.

We’ve dined here a few times now and it is always amazing. Fantastic food, drinks, ambiance, and service every visit. Always a favorite and very close to Benaroya Hall for pre-show dining and drinks. Highly recommend!

Food was not fresh or local. Prices astronomical for a lobby ‘restaurant’ serving frozen and canned food.

Even with a reservation, we were asked to wait. After being told they were “finding a table” (we could see several empty tables) and since we had a performance to attend, after 15 minutes I asked the host if it would be much longer. He sat us and I asked why things were so backed-up. He said it was staffing issues. Sorry, but when your customers are spending this kind of money ($30 burgers and pasta, and $60 cioppino) and expecting a high-end experience (always expected at the Four Seasons) these things should be more thoughtfully and proactively managed. After that, we waited a bit for our server to get to us, but the service and meal were both good.

Very attentive service, making adjustments for one in our party with dietary needs, serving a shared salad in two separate dishes, etc. Our waitperson knew we had a show to catch and helped to get us served and out the door in time. Very much appreciated.

It took over an hour and half to serve our meals which were just omelets. The restaurant was overwhelmed. Our server was very professional in how he tried to handle the situation, and the manager comped our meals. However, at the end of the day, this level of service is unacceptable.

My friend and I grabbed dinner here Saturday night - it was a vibe, and the food was amazing. I got the chicken and side of peppers, and my friend got pasta and we split the tomato app. Everything was soo flavorful and satisfying, well worth the money. The ambience and atmosphere were perfect. Really impressed by this place, well worth the price (which is moderate to higher end)
