Girl & the Goat opened in 2010 with the goal of offering a menu of bold, flavorful dishes designed to share in a fun and lively atmosphere. To complement the experience, we offer a curated selection of wines from around the world, focusing on small producers, along with a rotating list of craft beers and a playful cocktail menu crafted by our bartenders. The ever-changing menu, driven by locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, features favorites like sautéed green beans, roasted oysters, crispy short ribs, and confit goat belly. While reservations are encouraged for the dining room, our bar welcomes walk-ins, adventurers, and those who prefer spontaneity.

Excellent food with terrific, attentive staff. Place is beautiful and warm. Plates are small and meant for sharing. Some were quite expensive ($34 each for goat pork belly and basted bass) which were very small IMO for the price. Goat belly was very good, but would pass on the bass as we felt it was over spiced and couldn’t taste the fish. We also had the poke (24), oysters (18 for 2), beets (18), chickpea fritters (18) and a delicious, definite repeat in the toffee pumpkin spice cake (15). With tip and 3 drinks between us, came to $300 for 2 people. That said, this was our second visit and we will gladly be back again!!!

The service was impeccable and food was phenomenal. Nothing in the menu was disappointing. We really enjoyed the experience. Dessert was also really good. They made us feel so welcome and we had a great wedding anniversary. Definitely a repeat when we return to Chicago.

The delicious roasted oysters are $18 for TWO. Otherwise, everything was close to perfect.

Small plates were excellent, we enjoyed every dish. They were so good we were afraid to have desserts as the bar was so high. Fortunately we decided to anyway. We split a Toffee Pumpkin spice cake and their Chocolate and Peanut Butter dessert. They were great. Highly recommend

Sat at chiefs’ counter and enjoyed several dishes - with the goat being the star. Friendly and prompt service.
