The lively atmosphere of our dining room inside infuses energy into every meal, while the charming patio offers a tranquil escape in the heart of Chinatown, Honolulu. This is a jewel of a restaurant with exceptional food. Their take on combinations of flavors and textures is amazing. A great place to share small plates and experiences tastes you probably have not had. The scallops are exceptional with layers of flavors. I also had the crab pasta and it was another winner. We will return!

Pleasantly surprised on how great the food, service and atmosphere was. From the moment we walked in, everyone was very inviting. We had reservations at 5:30 pm and were seated promptly in the left back corner. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful with the menu. We started off with some cocktails. If you like Calpico, like my boyfriend then the Sun Chong Spritz cocktail is for you!! Slight sweetness and a very refreshing taste. If you like a little sweeter cocktail with a fruity flavor, then the Chromakey dreamcoat is the cocktail for you. Then, we began our appetizer portion and that's we were blown away by the flavors!!! We had the Nairagi Crudo, Scallop Carpaccio, Prosciutto San Daniele. As each appetizer came out we were so surprised with the flavors and couldn't wait for the next dish to come out. Everything was nice and light and wasn't overpowered by the other flavors in each dish. Next came our entrees, we had the Capellini Granchio, Char Siu pork and an order of the Hokkaido bread which we used to mop up all the saucy goodness from both dishes. We really enjoyed the pasta dish, and had commented on the type of pasta that was used. We both agreed if a different pasta was used it would make the dish really heavy, but the use of angel hair pasta was perfect!!! The showstopper for us was the Char Siu pork. It was perfectly cooked and was accompanied by red wine plums. Make sure if you have this dish, eat each piece of pork with a slice of plum then take a piece of soft Hokkaido bread to mop up the sauce. Lastly, we finished our feast with the Five-spice carrot cake which was pretty tasty. But we enjoyed the ginger gelato more than the cake itself. It had a very light taste, that helped to cleanse the palate. We really enjoyed Glovedi and will definitely be back to try the other dishes!!!

Mid-meal, my wife said, “I want to come here for my birthday. And I want my birthday to be every day.” The staff were knowledgeable and kind. The food and drinks were amazing. Even the menus were gorgeous. We can’t wait to go again.

Our 2nd time back - but there will be more visits! This is a unique fusion of Italian and asian food that really works well as does the casual fine dining experience.

I've gone there twice and everytime it's amazing. Each appetizer and entrée is an experience. Chef Bau is culinary genius, I can't recommend his restaurant enough. Tony our server was amazing, the food came out perfectly timed, the wine pairings were perfect. The dining area is cozy and relaxing reminiscent of the French quarter of New Orleans. Dining here is an experience as much as getting a delightful meal. I plan on going back again to try more new items on the menu as well as to see what the specials are. Everyone at my table ended up sharing our entrees and each one was a symphony of flavors. Do not pass up the opportunity to eat at this restaurant. It is without a doubt the best restaurant I've eaten at on oahu in the last three years. In a word the restaurant is elite, it's a stand out on an island filled with large corporate chain restaurants and a breath of fresh air from drab food.
