Gigino Trattoria opened its doors in August of 1994. The owners, Bob Giraldi and Phil Suarez, along with executive chef Luigi Celentano, have kept Gigino flourishing in the ever-changing Tribeca neighborhood. Chef Celentano creates both the menu and wine list, with daily specials of seasonally fresh seafood, game and vegetables. Gigino prides itself on the fact that all their dishes are prepared to order and almost all their pastas and breads are house-made. Fresh fish specials are featured on the “specials blackboard” daily, and it’s safe to say they also have the best pizza in Tribeca! Dining at Gigino Trattoria is a pleasure every time!

Had a party of 23 for an early dinner and every one of my guests had a wonderful time! Dennies was great to work with in planing for the dinner. We were celebrating a birthday, anniversary and theater performance. Rafael was extremely helpful the day of the dinner. The staff and waiters were all great. The food and service were exquisite!! Gigino now has new fans and patrons!! We will certainly be back! Thank you Gigino!!!

The wait staff is well trained and very attentive. The food is authentic Italian with attention paid to quality ingredients. My arugula salad was a bit plain and boring ( literally just arugula and white balsamic dressing). Otherwise the zuppe di pesce was excellent as were the gnocchi. We will return.

It‘s a very family friendly restaurant and the food was delicious. We tried their beet salad and had their pizzas which we really enjoyed. Our highlight was the dessert though. We had the torta di mandorle. It had some orange jam on it and melted in your mouth.
