Just a short stroll from Waverley Station and steps from St. Andrew Square, Gaucho Edinburgh is our first restaurant in Scotland, bringing the finest free-range, grass-fed Aberdeen Angus beef from Argentina to the heart of the city.

We proudly celebrate Scottish produce, working with Campbell’s Meats, the world-renowned IJ Mellis cheesemonger and Mark Murphy fruit and vegetables. Of course, we have a cocktail using Irn Bru and are pleased to serve Stewart’s Craft Lager, brewed out of Loanhead.

Edinburgh’s annual month-long celebration of all things restaurants returns for its fourth innings this March. We’re excited to be taking part, and offering up an exclusive menu of signature Gaucho dishes for just £25 for 3-courses. Mix and match your favourites, from our signature Beef Empanada with a classic salsa golf, to the 24-hour marinated rump steak in lashings of olive oil, parsley, and garlic. For the sweet-toothed among us, don’t leave without trying the Salted Dulce de Leche cheesecake, accompanied by a sweet ‘n sour combination of Chantilly cream and confit cherries.

Like tequila? Us too. Come join us for an evening that champions, celebrates and heroes our favourite Latin American spirit as we partner with legendary brand Patron on an exclusive dinner series. Plus, we’re ecstatic to share the triumphant return of Cafe Patron XO to Gaucho – we are the first restaurant in the UK to welcome it home. The coffee-based liquor has left a tequila-shaped hole on our shelves for the past three years, but you can look forward to a shot of the sweet digestif to round off your experience with us. For £80pp, the tequila-tinged menu includes four courses of Gaucho classics paired with a Chimichurri Margarita, signature Ginger Tommy's and Classic Margarita. And to finish, a shot of Cafe Patron XO.

Excellent and attentive service, and they brought my partner a desert as it was his birthday. Food was outstanding and they make an excellent mojito! It’s on the pricier end but it was a special occasion and can’t fault the service.

The atmosphere and layout of the restaurant was lovely. Our waiter Craig was very attentive and polite. The main dishes came on their own and the sides were all at a charge, which I thought could have been included in the price. The wines and drinks were overpriced but overall a great restaurant and a lovely touch with the free glass of prosecco each at the end of our meal to celebrate our anniversary.

Bella our waitress is what made the evening a very good experience tbh she was friendly and helpful hardworking and we had a good laugh with her . Atmosphere was a little louder than we expected but still an overall good night for valentines night . The valentines menu was a good mix of light starters and deserts with a good size sharing meal for 2 as a main ! Service was exceptional Bella deserves a pay rise 😊
