Fortunate Son has a really cool 1970s vibe with an awesome playlist. The decor both indoor and outdoor creates a fun and engrossing ambiance. The food is family style and comes to the table as soon as its ready and in no defined order. The menu is limited, but the food is pretty good (green beans - chef's kiss). Also, the price, in my opinion, is really good for what you get. The service is pretty good. The host was friendly and helpful. The server was friendly and helpful as well. The only issue, a small one, is that we weren't checked on as frequently as I would like - so we ended up waiting for water refills, etc. Ultimately not a big deal - but can be a bit stressful to enjoy dinner while simultaneously keeping an eye out to flag down server. Tip - get a reservation (especially if you want to sit inside).

Food is great! The portions are definitely meant to be shared, so i would recommend this spot for a group of at least 4. If your going on a date for 2 you will at least have leftovers! The service is great, it's a very intimate low noise level spot. I would recommend signing up for their reservation days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays as the wait time can get very long on other days. My top 3 dishes will have to be the following: Honey Walnut shrimp, egg rolls, and their hot and sour soup. Delicious!!

The food was good, i did not enjoy the fried rice as much i hoped to as all the reviews were so good. The atmosphere is lovely. It was a little confusing if you were to wait outside for a table or inside. There was a sign on a table outside that saiid “please wait to be seated” but then it seemed like maybe we should have waited inside. The prices we ok, it is all family style, so if we had more than a party of 2 it would have been more reasonable.

Great place for a date or for a small group. I wouldn’t recommend for groups bigger than 4. Also, they don’t do anything special for anniversaries.
